no it is beyond shit it requires alot of room and doesnt work well with kids if you dont have the room also cause they are too short.The games suck as well just get one used from gamestop and try it out you have a week to decide and im sure it will be going back

I love my Kinect. It's so much nicer than using the Wii for exercise because you don't have to hang onto a controller. Being able to use voice commands is great too. You do have to have a few feet of room in front of the TV though as it doesn't work well in very small spaces. A friend of mine recently bought an xbox and Kinect and her family loves it. The kids look forward to the weekends when they can play Kinect games.

A Kinect is definitely worth it if you like the kinds of games that are out for it. If you don't like any of those types of games though, then you won't need a Kinect.

If you're after a bit of fun with friends and a workout go for it otherwise give it a pass most people dont go for it since it invovles being active which may make you look silly but as for me i enjoy it

I've got a wii and an 360 and was wondering if the kinect is any better than the wii for my other half she prefers the just dance style of game
whereas I'm more of a fps type so looking through this i'll stick with the wii for a while save me money and buy Black Ops II

I love the kinect. Most of the games are kind of kiddy but they're still pretty fun. It's way better than the wii and its really good at picking up your movements, well depending on the game.

It was fun for all of 20 minutes.
If you like dancing, exercise or games for children then sure, go ahead, however it's a bit of a waste for anything else.

Even for these Kinect compatible games, tbh you just end up feeling like a proper tit when you sit trying to talk to it, especially when you could far more easily do any of these commands with the controller.

When it comes down to it, sure you can talk at it but imo as far as games go it's nothing more than a glorified Eye-Toy although the other uses that you see from unis pissing about with it are pretty cool.

If you're desperate for some motion-control games and you have a PS3 then get the Move - That has impressed me a lot, I expected it to be pretty bad but it tracks well, it doesn't feel like a big jump because you still have a controller, it's well-integrated into proper games and you don't have to worry about it not catching your accent.

It's over priced, requires a large room, and just over complicates things. It's horrible as a mic, most games like skyrim that use it are better played with a remote.

I'm waiting till the next system comes out because right now they are $90ish at Best Buy and I'm sure they will be cut dramatically once they start releasing the new kinect (better camera, zoom, etc).

If you can get one cheap go for it, they are fun but need a far amount of room. My main issue with it is the voice commands while fun to hop around in menus and Netflix if your playing a game such and mass effect or need for speed it will pick up random conversations and mess with your game. It's small things but as you run though a level and it decides to change your gun in the middle of a fire fight it will likely up set you.
