Ok, this is crazy, i was boosting the last 100 shotgun kills and when i reach the lvl 5 of the challenge to unlock "Sniper shotgun" the achievement pop up :.

I do admit, I saw yours earlier and copied and pasted across the list for some sections. Why? OT: Anyone wondering about the challenges that aren't showing, some only pop up once you've either got to a certain location where that enemy spawn, or you've completed a previous challenge up to level 5 beforehand. Again, give me a couple of days to get some notes down on places and locations for things and I'll do an edit overhaul to hopefully help with as many of the challenges as possible.

I wouldn't have cared as a list is a list, until I noticed you copied the challenge notes verbatim. It's fine, but give credit where credit is due - I put a lot of work into finding out what unlocked what, challenge details, etc (still working on it actually).

oh and btw, the official guide is missing some challenges and has an extra. It also lists them in a different order - the way they're listed is based on how my game presented them at the time of writing (they're randomized after a new challenge is unlocked in a given category).

Anyone have any tips on where to boost shotgun kills and rocket kills for Open Wide and Splish Splash? I am looking for a low level area I can easily run through many times over.

Roid Rage: Kill 5 enemies while buffed by a "Maylay" shield.

I have yet to see anyone ask this but im having trouble completing it, or even getting any progress at all. If someone could just tell me what type of shield to use, yeah that would be great, so if you could just leave that here by monday that would be great.

The shield will have "Maylay" in the name and it will give you a Roid Rage buff when the shield is depleted. When this happens, just punch enemies til they die.

Any other way you could get a shield. Drops, vending machines, quest rewards.

I'm running southern shelf bay right now, getting about 150+ kills a run, killing everything. Takes about 15- 20 min for me to go though, playing a commando

Another good place for the Open Wide challenge is Tundra Express, circling the map and demolishing varkids. Easy kills, and they respawn pretty quick.

I doubt theres a better place than this it took me a little over an hour to get 650 point blank shotgun kills.

Yeah, it was definitely making quick work for, and I wasn't even farming them. Still got 200+ kills in no time flat. By the way, your avatar pic is win.

appreciate the list, just really annoyed by jenkins... I've opened 1,500 chests total (probably 600+ from farming this guy) and haven't seen him. Frustrating!

Yup, that's the difinitely the best location to get the 750 kills done.

JEEEEENKINSSSSSS!!! - Kill Jimmy Jenkins: I just found him on my 2nd run (Vault Hunter Mode) in the WILDLIFE PRESERVE, also in on of the boxes in the room right next to the entrance to the Creature Slaughter Dome. FINALLY!

Nice guide. Thanks for clearing up the confusion on this one.

BTW when you do the Roid Rage (Maylay Shield) one , use a bladed weapon and it counts for both types of melee as well.

Wear an Amp Shield. Let it charge to full. Shoot something and kill it with one shot. Let your shield recharge and repeat. Sniper rifle works well with this shield.

The shield adds damage to your first shot when it is full, but it drains your shield a bit each time.

I circle to the left from the entrance, over the first snowfield, to the farm, then cut through the middle for the varkid in the valley, then around Tiny Tina's to the ranch. Rinse, repeat. Seems to be pretty efficient and quick.

Another nice spot to boost Open Wide is The Southpaw Steam & Power. I've been getting 50 kills about every 5 minutes.

I would suggest adding something along the lines of this to your first post:

If you have done ALL challenges to level one that you see but you did not get the achievement, make sure you have done the following two as well:

Then list the ones that unlock after another, since they do not show up in the challenge log and I was flipping out because the achievement didn't unlock. Make it big bold letters so people will see it.

For the dreaded jimmy Jenkins, if you didn't get him in your 1st or 2nd playthrough like me, I went out and created a jimmy farming method that works but it can take some time. Either way it works and remember don't give up hope it helps

Nice work posting guide. Jimmie Jenkins was the last challenge I needed, finally got him to pop on Opportunity and unlocked Challenge Accepted.

Finally finished Open Wide! and the achievement unlocked. So glad that is done. Southpaw Steam & Power was what I used for about 400 kills. Pretty fast.
