Has this game been sorted yet?

I heard a while back that the achievements were very glitchy for this... Achievement guide agrees... Bur dint know if its out of date. Anyone know if its been patched? Or if it ever will be?
Are the glitches avoidable or is it blind luck?

Not quite sure. I know it was patched to help the freezing issue, which still isn't totally fixed I don't think. As for glitches, they might still be there but I don't know. I think it's just blind luck sadly.
