Can anyone recommend a good seed for the "on a rail" achievement? Basically a world that has flat expanses but lots of easily accessible iron, wood, gold and red stone?

build it on a hill, you only need standard rails then, the cart rolls down the hill by itself.

has anyone found a seed yet on the 360 that starts you off or close to a village in a snow biome?
I found one for the PC, tried to put it in (looked here: http://www.minecraftseeds.info/) and found a lot of cool ones but I couldnt seem to find the villages when I punched in these seeds which leads me to believe not all work on the 360

worstseedever is where I got it because you spawn right next to a dungeon that has a saddle in the chest. There are also pigs nearby the dungeon.

Wayne Gretzky
Try Wayne Gretzky. It has lots of hills and small mountains, and loads of building materials all over the place...

punching wood
This seed has an ocean with multiple islands, most of them loaded with trees. At least 3 quarters of the map can be revealed quickly by boat. |

I'm really having trouble finding the diamond cave in "Clear" since there are several caves. How far down do you have to go before you get to the waterfall? Is there maybe a youtube clip somewhere? Thanks in advance!

Anyone knows a seed that spawns massive amounts of sand?
I tried ''desert'' but got too many grass and dirt in my opinion

"Pirate" spawns you in the water right next to a sand beach surrounded by multiple islands.

I'm having a ton of fun messing around entering random stuff. Here are a few noteworthy ones-
Harvest Moon - Very pretty. Ton of trees where I spawned, mix of dirt and sand soil. A nice lake at the foot of some cliffs nearby. Snow biome with canyonlands to the south, saw a huge natural arch and a very tall waterfall. unladen swallow - Now, this one was interesting, will have to explore it more later. Huge cave near the spawn point going quite deep. Good mix of soils, lots of flowers, and saw at least half a dozen small sky islands. Eurydice - If you want to start off living in a cave, might be a good bet. Very nice deep cave with lots of rooms and a small, easy to seal of enterance a short walk from the spawn point. ETA: enirboreh - This is a pretty cool one (herobrine spelled backwards). A really tall lavafall near the spawn, and some great canyonlands. Part I walked was mostly snowy. Only issue would be the lack of trees.

I have searched every square inch of the Diamonds, diamonds everywhere! For that mountain with the huge lava flow but it just doesn't seem to exsist. Am I missing something?

Haven't got any screenshots, but the seed "Input the seed for your world generation" is actually really good, it has 3 pumpkin patches in close proximity to each other, and a lot of sky-high mountains with an abundance of floating islands.

Has anyone tried entering their own name for a map seed yet? I tried mine, and I spawned by 3 separate dungeons and the amount of trees was mental. I was also by a load of water with islands in the distance and plenty of sugar canes.

Castle Greyskull
Pros -Super thick forests with massive trees, some big/thick enough to simulate night while standing underneath! if building with wood is your thing, you're in luck! -Crazy tall mountains, hope you have rappelling gear! -Beautiful deep and complex cavern system, rich with iron and coal. I'd like to hope there's gold and diamonds in there too, was too sleepy to continue. Started at 10:30 and stayed up 'til midnight. Had 40 iron and a full stack of coal from my short stint down there. Cons -Land is very hilly, if you love flat land, this ain't the map for you. Will explore more tonight and post pics. |

I explored it more last night, and there is one visible diamond square at the bottom area of the big cave. I think I may use that one for my new world after the update.
I tried using my name too, and got a boring desert. I played around with some others, and the only one worth mentioning is "Gog and Magog" (without quotes). Even then, only because it looks like it would be a perfect seed for a newbie. Sugarcane and a pumpkin patch near the spawn, a nice little cave that would be a perfect first shelter, and probably the most heavily forested map I have come across yet, from what I walked of it. |

I see clear on there, but if you use the Seed: Cowboy Bebop you get a map that is easily 90% snow or ice, there's a tiny spot just left of center of map that isn't snow, everything else is the North Pole.

Me and a friend tried out some seeds yesterday before continuing with our original map. Here are the ones we liked, type them in as I've typed them.
iron man 12345678987654321 incredible hulk DecadentBeaver They were all pretty interesting, incredible hulk had a lot of trees according to my mate, as did my GT. Will be trying out a few more and if I find any good ones, I'll post them here. |
