Inifnite SMG ammo?

at the end of act 1 it said that i unlocked infinite SMG ammo. there is no option to turn it on anywhere though and my SMG still has an ammo count. what's the deal?

EDIT: after beating the game the unlocks now appear in my game options. oh well, maybe they'll carry over to episode 2.

Actually, once you unlock it at the end of Act 1 you can quit to Main Menu and turn it on there.

I was curious as to whether anyone knows if turning on the infinite ammo disables achievements?

I'm about to play through Act 2 with infinite SMG ammo on, I'll post back and let people know how it goes!

update: Enabling it seems to have done nothing. My SMG ammo is still limited.
