Have you written a guide for x360a?
If you have written a guide for this website, I don't care what game, what genre, etc, but I wanted to personally say thank you for your time and effort.
I came to the site from the Xbox Live forums after their 're-design". Looked through some posts, and a couple guides and stuck around. But, I always know if I have a question on a game, or need some achievement advice/help I can go right to the game and 99% of the time there is a Guide & Roadmap. I can't add up all the achievements I've gotten from those. But, regardless, I also realize all the time and effort that goes into them. Some of the guides here are straight up better than any "published" guide. So, I know it sounds sappy and what not, but seriously, thanks for your hard work. I'd list members who's guides I have read but I'd forget someone. So, I'll just give a big thank you to all the guide writers.

Thanks for the thanks! That's what sets this site apart from the others (consistency). And you can always give your thank yous within the guides you read as you go along

But, I 100% agree. This site is worlds away from other sites, and other guides, etc. It feels like a home. I think it's really easy to bitch at people and tell them what they do wrong, but a lot of people don't take the time to give thanks and tell people what they are doing right. Just trying to do my small part.

That's true. I'd like to give my thanks as well. Really helpful, and there are some really good ones out there that seems like the guy developed the damn game.

I would also like to thank everyone! Guides and Roadmaps help out so much. The site wouldn't be possible without the members.
![]() I haven't done too much. I wrote the Roadmap for skate., the Roadmap for Lord of the Rings: Conquest, and joint-wrote the Roadmap/Guide for Call of Duty: World at War.

I found this site by chance after searching Google. I viewed the site as an outsider until September last year when I finally joined. I have gotten countless achievements from the oh so helpful guides. Especially them darned secret achievements.
Much respect to all you Guide writers, you do a fantastic job, and High 5's all round. Plus the people here for the most part are helpful and friendly. Got a lot of my friends from here, and some online achievements I wouldn't have got due to game being dead online. |

I've written a couple of guides myself but not for any 'big' games, so for those people who have put all the attention and detail in to those ones I'm giving you a big thank you. This is the site I come to first if I'm having trouble with a game achievement wise, the peeps here are so helpful!

Must admit the time and effort people put into there guides is amazing. Very rarely do I find a guide that doesn't offer any help.
So like others cheers to everyone that has taken the time to create and share a guide with the rest of the x360a community.

I have written one guide for the site but never submitted it, so it just sits in the forum.
Thanks to all the others that wrote guides for games

Nope, i've only written small things that might have helped the community. Kudos to those investing the time in guides though.

kinda feel like im just jumping on a bandwagon here, but, credit were credits due. the effort and time to make these guides is extraordinary, and very much appreciated. so cheers to everyone who has ever wrote any form of guide, whether ive personally used it or not, your contribution to this site is what makes it great and why i personally keep coming back. i'd love to write a guide myself(mainly for the little award), but it usually takes me ages to complete games.

Thanks for that compliment.
![]() But yeah, the achievement guides on the forum are great resources. I dont use the main page very often, but it seems that it can be quite behind, and doesnt have the questions and comments in the forums underneath. Either way, they're great things here, and I try to participate as much as possible to make them as best as possible. And I can't speak for other guide writers, but small words of kindness on the guide thread (even if a few months old) can be really nice to see and encouraging for future guides. I'd rather know that people found something useful or completely useless, than not knowing at all.

I just started writing them, and I actually enjoy it and I want to keep doing it.
I always have been wanting to subscribe/donate to the website and have been telling myself I would for a long time but I just cant afford it. So I thought of ways I can give back and help the community with what I have...So I am starting to write guides. I think they are coming out really nice, I had read over the "How To make a Roadmap" and the "How to write an achievement guide" threads multiple times. Plus I REALLY enjoy my Kinect, and I can tell that most people don't. And I can tell by the leaderboards of games that people are really not interested in playing them at all. Since hardly any kinect games have guides I can focus on making those more and it could attract more people to start to use there kinect and actually come into the games open minded instead of the attitude people have when they first play a kinect game. Of course that's only icing on top of the cake though. Wrote three so far, Kinect Disneyland Adventures Wipeout: In the Zone Hulk Hogans Main Event All three of the games are ridiculously underplayed, they are all a blast and I had fun writing the guides. Still waiting on 2 of them to be reviewed and added to the overview of the game, and the other one (Wipeout) I still need to proofread for errors. PS. Thanks a ton Tyger and Pants...You guys have written so many guides and you two always seem to have the most helpful guides! Last edited by Foxxy kyle; 04-17-2012 at 10:13 PM. |

I'm a relatively new poster on the site but itv used it for years, iv been reading up on writing decent guides and I'd like to do some in the future. My next step will be to get a good capture card and learn how to use it properly.
Thanks to all the great guide and roadmap writers on this site, they have made getting to my current GS much more enjoyable, especially Tyger7 - pretty much every guide I look at is written by him - great job. |

My thanks to tons of people out there, including the one I've quoted in this post. Maka's guides for Dirt 3 made it possible for me to get a lot of achievements in that game. I seriously doubt I would've ever gotten the all golds in gymkhana events if it weren't for those. There's countless others to thank, and just all the more reason I love this site.

I wrote one for Halo: Reach that got beat out early and I have a sticky for Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary and intend to do so again if they do Halo 2 Anniversary and will definitely be giving a shot at Halo 4 when they release it.
Definitely have to say thanks to those that wrote all of the other guides that I've used in my time on X360A. They've been lifesavers in more ways than 1. Sometimes the tricks they mention for getting a certain achievement can be useful in overcoming other parts of the game as well and so on, so they're definitely a big part of my gaming experience.
