Who else hopes CD Projekt RED doesn't ruin The Witcher 3...
because of all of the idiotic complainers that apparently have no idea how to play the game. This is basically a "I hope CD Projekt RED doesn't take feedback from people that don't get it anyway and ruin it for people that already do enjoy the games" thread. I think they (CD Projekt RED) shouldn't take feedback from non-fans. They should only take feedback from people that get it but want to see the games be all they can be.
The Witcher 2 is a RPG for people that like RPGs not Linear action adventures. I hope CD Projekt RED doesn't listen too much too these idiots that apparently just don't get it and want every game to look, feel, and play the same. I like the fact that the witcher games are unique and don't play like other games and you have to learn them to get good. That way the game world feels that much more unique and believable. Instead of it feeling like every other RPG I've played. So to the people that like the witcher games feel free to add. To the people that don't like the witcher games don't even bother posting. This thread isn't for you. I already know that you don't get it and never will. Farwell to you now go play dragon age or something instead of trying to make CD Projekt RED ruin the witcher series because they for some reason feel like they need to satisfy you.

If you are talking about on this forum exclusively, then I'd like to think nobody. If you are talking in general then I'd have to say the complainers and every company that isn't publishing it. The ones that just hate it and want to see it fail. The people that hate to see other people succeed because they haven't done anything with their life. That wasn't really what I was going for though but I see your point. Obviously almost everyone will want to see them succeed but I was being more specific. I wasn't so much asking who would want it to fail. I was pretty much asking who hopes they don't dumb it down because of the complaints of the few people that actually don't like the games. I just hope CPR doesn't try to please these people and ruin it for the people that already like it and wanted to see if other people think they might ruin it because they are listening to the wrong people. You know kind of like EA does with everything.

Anyway, I think we just have to wait until they actually show some new features. We don't know if the community feedback is for the better or for the worse, it's not like they'll pull a Mass Effect on us.....I hope.

I wasn't calling Dragon Age a bad game. I like Dragon Age. What I meant is that most of the people that complain about The Witcher 2 seem to want it to be more like Dragon Age with guest markers that lead you straight to your objective, they want The Witcher to be party based, they also say that The Witcher 2 isn't as strategic because I guess that they don't get the potions thing and how powerful they can be, or the fact that they complain that you have to drink potions ahead of time instead of being able to guzzle potions in battle. These people want all RPGs to be the same and since the wither series is different they don't like it. With that said community feedback is a good thing because no game is perfect. I just hope they aren't listening to the wrong people. I want them to be listening to the people that liked it not the people that just didn't get it or didn't learn how to play it right. Every game can use improvement I just don't want it to turn out playing like every other RPG.

I really don't think they'll dumb this game down this game is known for complexity and the challenge that you go through to get good, that's how I see it at least. Still haven't delved into Witcher 2 even though I bought it on day 1 but the complexity will stay hopefully, I would never expect simplicity from a PC ported game like that, I would expect a challenge.

This next console generation I am leaning towards being a PC gamer exclusively just because of all the BS with consoles. CD Projekt RED is one of the last good PC developers so my fear also comes from the fact that if they do ruin The Witcher 3 then it doesn't exactly bode well for PC gaming in general. I do have high hopes and I hope it equals of surpasses The Elder Scrolls/the Gothic series for open world RPG supremacy. If they do things right then The Witcher 3 could easily be my favorite RPG of all time.

I thought the Witcher 2 was simply incredible. I struggled with my first playthrough on normal (Roche) last year and have just played Iorveth's path on easy for the first Act, normal for act 2 and hard for act 3 (prepartion for attempting Dark difficulty. I sadly have to do Roche's path on Dark for some achievements I missed; I enjoyed Iorveths better.
I love how it's a game you have to learn and actually think about. Skyrim for example has absolutely no combat mechanics at all, just swing at anything and everything in the same way. I also liked how this was a challenge, but only really to those who have not truly mastered the game yet. I too hope that The Witcher 3 is every bit as detailed and challenging as Witcher 2. Because it's an independant studio with no publisher breathing down its neck to make it accessible to casual gamers, I think it's safe to assume CD Project RED will do a wonderful job. I just hope it's available on both PS4 and the new xbox, as I haven't decided which console to invest in yet. |

Well, since they're thinking about MP for the game, i think they listened to some of that feedback. It'll inevitably have an impact on the game, and there goes one of the last bastions for the PC community.

CD Projket is one of those developers that doesn't really care whether the console kids like or not. They design for PC gamers so very little though goes into the console port.

i agree with my neighbor here ; they seem focused on the living world they want to create, and if they have enough funds until the last development weeks, I think we could end up with one of the best, most ambitious and gorgeous games ever made.
