A small guide the Resurgence DLC.

 

What do I get from this DLC?

This DLC contains

- 6 new Characters to play as

- 3 New Guns

- 2 New Maps

 

The Characters and Guns must be unlocked via reinforcement packs. All itmes unlocked are Rare(gold) so you will need to buy Spectre packs or better to unlock them. There is also a very small chance to get them from Veteran Packs.

 

How much is this DLC?

This DLC is free.

 

Weapons

Striker - Assault Rifle

 

Weapons Damage - 144.7 - 180.9

Weight - 2.0 - 1.4

Clip Size - 12

Reserve Ammo - 48 - 60

 

This weapon has a slow RoF but will increase the longer you hold down the trigger so increased clip size is recommended. Sadly this gun is NOT a hitscan weapon so much like the Falcon this gun will suck if you are not host.

 

Recommend use with Turian Soldier with Cyro rounds and Clip/Damage Mods

 

Geth Plasma SMG

 

Weapon Damage - 16.1 - 20.1

Weight - 0.65 - 0.3

Clip Size - 100

Reserve Ammo - 600 - 800

 

Like the Geth Pulse Rifle this gun has little to no recoil or spread and can deal very fast damage when "Charged up". This gun will fire almost 3x faster once it has fired for 3 seconds.

 

Due to it's very low weight this is a great gun for power classes that want something new to try out, sadly like all SMGs this thing will do jack shit on armor.

 

Kishok Harpoon - Sniper Rifle

 

Weapon Damage - 645 - 806.8

Weight - 2 - 1.4

Clip Size - 1

Reserve - 15 - 25

 

- Fires an arcing projectile, account for this when aiming at heads

 

- Has a 300% headshot multiplier(compared to the normal 250%) to account for increased difficulty in scoring headshots.

 

- Delivers 80% of it's damage on hit.

 

- Delivers 20% of it's total damage in bleeding damage over 10 seconds.

 

- Fully charged shots deal 1.5x standard damage.

 

This gun is basically a dumbed down version of the Widow. It only has one shot, can't pierce even with mods, does less damage, AND IS NOT HITSCAN. This means if you are not host you will need to lead your target by about 1-2 seconds based on lag so have fun trying to get a headshot on anything.

Geth Eng/Infil

These 2 both have Hunter Mode/Networked AI

 

Networked AI

 

Advanced combat platform fine-tunes powers and weapons, especially geth weapons. More power damage. More weapon damage. More Geth weapon damage. More strength.

Geth Turret(Engineer)

Deploy a multifunctional turret that deals heavy damage and repairs the shields of allies within 8 meters every 8 seconds

Turret Damage: 150

Allied Shields Restored: 350

 

Rank 2

- Increase recharge speed by 25%

 

Rank 3

- Increases turret's shield and damage by 30%

 

Rank 4

- Increases turret's shield and damage by 40%

- Increased shields restored to allies by 50%

- Increase the turret's damage by 30% and damage done to armor by 50%

Or

- Increase the shields restored to allies by 50% and increase the range of this ability by 40%

- Upgrade the turret with a close-range flamethrower that deals 71.50 damage per second

Batarian

Reinforce armor with razor sharp blades that damage enemies that melee.

Submission Net(Sentinel)

Entangle oppenants in an electrified net dealing massive damage to armored targets and incap unarmored targets as they break free. Targets build up resistances to net

The destruction of their home system has made the batarians even more ruthless in their struggle for survival

Radius: 3m

Damage Reduction: 20%

Damage Taken Increase: 10%

 

Rank 2

- Increase recharge speed by 25%

 

Rank 3

- Increase Duration by 30%

 

Rank 4

- Decrease shield recharge delay for allies within the shield by 15%

Or

- Increase the shield's radius by 30%

 

Rank 5

- Increase damage reduction for allies within the shield by 10%

Or

- Increase damage taken by enemies within the shield by 15%

 

Rank 6

- Increase damage reduction for allies within the shield by 10%

- Decrease shield recharge delay for allies within the shield by 10%

Or

- Hit enemies inside the shield with Warp, dealing 50 damage pr second and reducing armor by 25%. This can affect up to 30 enemies at a time and set them up for a biotic detonation.

 

Asari Justicar

Centuries of rigid training gives the asari to greater martial prowess and the mental focus to strengthen their biotics.

Any info on the new equipment? Also you repeated yourself on the description of the biotic bubble.

 

Edit: You don't mention you can charge the harpoon gun.

 

Where do you see a repeat on biotic sphere?

I did enjoy the MP in this game but with no new achievements I cannot really find any reason to go back and play it now I've finished the main story. I played it mainly to build my galactic readiness and as an easier way to unlock the gunsmith achievement and to import a level 20 character to my war assets.

 

What other reason is their to play it now? I do need more kills towards the 5,000 kills achievement but to be honest I'd rather have more run throughs of the campaign. To many randoms getting in my way trying to get all the kills on the mp.

 

If they want to give me a reason to keep playing the MP then more achievements would be a start.

To be honest, even though I love the MP a lot it can get a bit stale after a awhile even though I like to play around with random class/weapon setups and try to have fun. Sadly with all of the host lag issues and no new enemy types or objectives I find it hard to play with randoms anymore since after playing the same faction and hacking the same damn terminal over and over again it just gets a little boring.

 

I hope that in the future they add Collectors or other enemy types or like you said achievements. I don't see this happening since they have tried very hard to keep most achievements (outside of Defender) in SP with the option to do MP.

 

EDIT: If you re lookinh for something to do in SP you always try out this challenge.

Thats what I was thinking. Are you actually invincible then? Can anyone get headshot medals while using the harpoon, because I'm not even though I'm getting headshots.

I like Firebase Hydra a lot. There's a room nearby where you start the map on that has excellent fields of fire across pretty much the whole map. It's also pretty defensible as it only has two side entrances. If you need to bail on your position, since the map is so large, you can put a lot of distance between yourself and the horde.

 

I didn't like Firebase Condor. It felt way to porous. I found it difficult to get solid cover and there were just too many hodge-podge pathways. It's also a dark map. I found it difficult to assess my surroundings. One nice thing about it is theme. Cool that it's the moon near Palaven and the visuals are stunning.

All DR is multiplicative. You can figure out the total DR like this:

 

(1-DR) * (1-DR) .....

 

For example, if you had a 30% DR bubble with 40% tech armor it would look like:

 

(1.0 - 0.3) * (1.0 - 0.4) = 0.7*0.6 = 0.42

 

Now if you add Rage it will look like this

 

(1.0 - 0.3) * (1.0 - 0.3) * (1.0 - 0.4) = 0.7*0.7*0.6 = 0.294

 

This means you take 29.4%% of the damage, so 70.6% damage reduction.

 

Now IF MULTIPLE BUBBLES STACKED

In a perfect world and had 4 justicars it would look like this

 

(1.0 - 0.4) * (1.0 - 0.4) * (1.0 - 0.4) * (1.0 - 0.4) *(1.0 - 0.4) * = 0.6*0.6*0.6*0.6*0.6 = 0.07776%

 

This mean you would have 99.92224 Damage Reduction. This would make it nearly impossible to die .

 

Again the 99.9% is if multiple bubbles stack(unconfirmed) and the 70.6% is confirmed

Uh huh. I bet the game would be very interesting you then. Won't get stale at all.

 

Side comment, I did Firebase White Gold last night with my Salarian Engineer. I used my decoy to good effect. Whereas the team I was with a couple days ago was able to do it without, with it - it was a breeze.
