BioShock Contest - Winners Announced!
With the release of Bioshock, we thought what could we do for a give away? Well, for the newest members of the Cult of Rapture, we were given codes for rare Themes and Gamer Pics. That’s right, rare, as in, you can’t buy them, you can’t download them, and one of the ways you can get them is right here at X360A.
So, the contest is this… we want to know what you want to see on our News Section. Make a post, and you entered, simple enough right? We have 10 codes to share with you all, so get posting! Rules:

Yay I'm the first...I already gave my ideas on news to Minty I believe, but I'll post them again...gotta have some World of Gaming News up on here...tournaments that all people can get in

Would love to see localized news aswell as globle!! i.e theres alot of news about games around the net but only half applys to uk and jap etc.

I would like to see nothing more. You guys are doing an amazing job at keeping this site up to date and I have been a long time visitor and a minimal poster. Actually this is my 3rd post. I dont think that anything should be removed and anything added (other than games

Id like to see REAL news about the 360, and its games...NOT the kind of made up seuff that is all over QJ.net....those guys never seem to get a story right....

I would like to see news on recent marketplace content like new demos, picture packs/themes and expansions/in game content if you know what I mean. Also general updates of what has been going on in the gaming world like mentioning and updates of pax and events like E3 and major events for games like halo 3 going gold and release of cod 4 beta. I think all of this would be great.

The news section should probably include anouncements about changes to the site, new features, release date updates (what XBLA games are coming this week), and also info for games getting alot of hype. Maybe also contest results.

I think you guys should include more release dates in your news posts, and more about the Xbox itself. What would also be nice is posting the latest game trailers, and possibly some movie trailers (for video game based movies, such as Far Cry). Oh, not to mention XBLA updates and Xbox system updates. Then I wouldn't have to go to any other site to know the latest Xbox news.
That's all I can think of at the moment. |

It's tough to say what should be added, because after all, this is an achievement site. It sounds as though you are interested in branching that out to be seperate from that, but there seems to be so many sites that provide that kind of general 360 news that it's tough to understand why you would want to try and compete. That being said, I think it's a neat start, and things like game updates, release dates and pushbacks, XBLA releases, and anything having to do with the decision making and reasons developers pick the achievements they do would be pretty sweet. If we could actually get some sort of "insider" or something with a developer, that would be ultra awesome to see what real reasoning and consideration goes into picking what achievements make it into the games.

I think it would be funny to post fake news stories (The Onion / Daily Show style) once in a while. Maybe things like "Master Chief Outraged At Lame Halo 3 Achievement List" or "Uwe Bowl Receives Best Director Oscar Nomination".

I would like to see sport scores every week or so. Also more info on downloadable content. Such as whenever something new comes up it gets a separate section on the main page underneath "screenshots"

It would be cool if you could have a calendar with release dates in it. Although you may well need more than one for the different regions. It would cool to see some comedy, such as gaming related jokes or stories of gaming related stupidity. It is playing games and having fun that brings us to this site in the first place after all.

I like the idea of XBOX news since if I want world affairs and news i'll watch the news, but in the way of xbox news I like hearing about contests. Everything from tournies to contests (similar to the OLD SPCE challenge or littler things such as the Alien Hominod contest). Also some general updates on big upcomming releases, I don't mean bombard us with Halo 3 news, but little stuff like updated lists for Guitar Hero III or Rock Band. Just my Two cents...
