Toy Story

Daycare Dash

Buddy Areas (3)

1. Woody After putting the first battery in you will go through what seems like an assault course. Whilst going through this if you keep to the left you should eventually come to a blue ramp. Up this small ramp you will find woody's buddy area.
2. Buzz After bouncing on the small trampolines, and balance ontop of the swing set you come to a point where you choose to balance on a rope to the left or jump on obstacles to the right. Choose the right and once you finish jumping keep to the right until you see Buzz's face.
3. Jesse In the last playground before exiting to start driving the car, you will see a brown ramp located to the far right as you enter the area. Once up this ramp you will find a buddy area.

Character Coins (4)

1. As soon as you start the level instead of going for the battery, turn around and find the yellow box at the back of the area. Zap this and the coin should come out.
2. This coin is waiting for you when you enter Woody's buddy area.
3. Once across Buzz's buddy area, this will be in front of you.
4. Once across Jesse's buddy area, this will be sitting right in front of you.

Airport Insecurity

Buddy Areas (3)

1. Woody Once you finish going through the bag tranporters you come to a room where you have to throw a tennis ball at something. (Also the room where you find townspeople) Woody's buddy area is on your left as you enter the room.
2. Jesse When you enter the aircraft you first have to jump across a set of bags and will then be given an option to climb left or walk right. Climb left and jump onto the railing. When sliding down the railing you must jump to the left railing when it appears. This will take you ontop of a pile of packages. At the end of these packages will be Jesse's buddy area.
3. Buzz In the area before you exit the plane (where you find the second lot of townspeople) just as you enter the area there will be a wall of bags to your left. On this you will find part of it that you can climb. Buzz can be summoned at the top of this.

Character Coins (4)

1. When in the room where Woody's buddy area is, find the yellow box and zap it with your laser. The coin should come out.
2. Found in Woody's buddy area.
3. Found once you enter Jesse's buddy area.
4. Found in Buzz's buddy area.

Dump Escape

Buddy areas (3)

1. Woody In the middle of your path when you jump onto the rubbish in the claw where the paths split.
2. Buzz Again, in the middle of your path a bit further down the path from Woody when the paths split.
3. Jesse When your about to begin sliding outside there is a small walkway to the left of the slide. Down this walkway is Jesse's buddy area. This is just after you destroy the second machine.

Character Coins (4)

1. In Woody's buddy area.
2. In Buzz's buddy area.
3. In Jesse's buddy area.
4. In the second yellow box, just before Jesse's buddy area.

Rooftops

Buddy Areas (3)

1. Emile In the middle of the path just before you go down into the room filled with candles.
2. Remy Inside the candle room to the right just before you exit.
3. Girl Just after you soak the second set of pigeons this buddy area is on the right up a ramp.

Character Coins (4)

1. You need the special ability, glide, to cross a large gap near the beginning.
2. In Emile's buddy area.
3. In Remy's buddy area.
4. In Girl's buddy area Anyone know

Floodgates

Buddy Areas (5)

1. Emile In the opening room there is a hole filled with food against the back wall.
2. Emile After letting the boat free you will start to travel down he drain, on your left you will be given the opportunity to climb two walls. Choose the right, taller, wall and there is a another food filled hole.
3. Remy After letting the boat free for the second time, stay left and instead of staying in the water you will climb a short wall. This buddy area will then be in front of you.
4. Girl After Remy's buddy area you will jump across some pipes and then this buddy area will be in front of you.
5. Remy Where you let the boat go free for the third time.

Character Coins (4)

1. Inside Emile's buddy area #2.
2. Where you let the boat free a second time you can be flung into a platform by a buddy. Once on here use glide to cross the water.
3. In Girl's buddy area.
4. In Remy's buddy area #2.

Stop that Chef!

Buddy Areas (4)

1. Emile right in front of you at the start
2. Remy After doing the first sliding part you come to a very narrow wooden tunnel. There is a buddy area about half way through on the right hand side.
3. Girl After beating the boss the first time you will slide down a white slide and come to an option of climb left or ramp right. This buddy is up the ramp to the right.
4. Remy After you defeat the boss a second time you will enter the restaurant. You will be up on tables for most of it, but once you reach a point where you can go down on a white table cloth you should go down and stay to the right to find Remy's buddy area.

Character Coins (4)

1. In Emile's buddy area.
2. In Girl's buddy area. This can also be accessed by taking the climbing route at the start and jumping across.
3. After collecting the coin in Girl's buddy area you should continue down that path until you are shown to use glide. When you use it you should land on a white cloth with blue stripes. Run to the end of this and you should see the coin in front of you. Use glide again and you should grab the edge and pull yourself up.
4. In Remy's buddy area #2.

Buddy Areas (3)

1. Carl On the left when you enter the first large area, where you need to knock down a tree.
2. Dug On the left in the second large area.
3. Russell If you keep to the left after Dug's buddy area and watch the wall you should come across this.

Character Coins (4)

1. In the same area as Carl's buddy area but to the right there is a place you can use your special ability to access this coin.
2. In Russell's buddy area.
3. In Dug's buddy area.
4. In Carl's buddy area.

Buddy Areas (3)

1. Russell Behind you right at the start.
2. Dug In the second long room after you start. Jump off some dinosaur eggs on your left hand side.
3. Carl In the large room after the first set of ziplines.

Character Coins (4)

1. In Russell's buddy area.
2. In Dug's buddy area.
3. In Carl's buddy area.
4. When running along the metal platforms after the room of Carl's buddy area, you should find this in a metal cage. Use your whip to get it.

Canyon Expedition

Buddy Areas (3)

1. Dug Not long after you start you will find this as long as you stay on the highest route. It will be on the right before you cross some ziplines. You will need to climb to get to this. The climbing spot is on the left against the wall.
2. Carl After buddy area one you should stay on the lowest route to find this buddy area on your left.
3. Russell After Carl's buddy area you should keep to the left route until you reach a waterfall. This buddy area is just before the waterfall and should take you behind it.

Character Coins (4)

1. In Dug's buddy area.
2. In Carl's buddy area.
3. After Carl's buddy area you will be given the option to go lower where there are 2 cages that need whipped. Go past these two cages and stay to the right. You should see a another cage tucked under the rocks with the coin in it.
4. In Russell's buddy area.

Note: Glide areas do not count as buddy areas, but are in the guide. You do not have to use these areas for any achievements.

Fancy Drivin'

Glide & Missile Areas (4)

1. Missile Keep left until you see the large shootable rock. It's after very severe bumps.
2. Glide Center of the small farm area, after riding the wall with the big corner.
3. Missile Keep right until you see the large shootable rocks, after the helicopter and big brown balls.
4. Glide End of a small tunnel. The tunnel is to your left, right after the paint balls are shot at you.

Character Coins (4)

1. In Missile #1 area.
2. In Glide #2 area.
3. In Missile #3 area.
4. In Glide #4 area.

Bomb Squad

Glide & Missile Areas (5)

1. Missile At the first slit of the path after you start, choose left and there should be something you can shoot a missile at.
2. Missile & Glide After the massive water feature that you can drive through this missile is at the second road split after this, after the grinding rails. Its right in the middle of the road splitting and if you use glide straight after you will get a character coin.
3. Glide This is just before area 4. You will need to go up a ramp and glide over a large set of brown doors onto a pavilion. This requires choosing the right hand path.
4. Missile & Glide This is just before you exit the authentic Japanese area back into the streets. It is on your right as you exit. You will need to use missile to break through the blockage and then use glide when up the ramp to reach the character coin.
5. Missile After passing area 4 you are back on the streets. After about 30 seconds you will come to a rail for grinding on. Once you pass look for a missile point on your left.

1. In Missile & Glide #2 area.
2. In Glide #3 area.
3. In Missile & Glide #4 area.
4. In Missile #5 area.

Convoy Hunt

Glide & Missile Areas (8)

1. Glide If you go up the first ramp to the left you can glide off the end of the roof and hit an Allinol billboard.
2. Glide This just collects some coins. Its not long after area 1. Again I don't think this counts.
3. Glide Where area 2 is, don't go left, choose right and glide for some more coins and a billboard. Also do not think this counts.
4. Missile After areas 2 and 3 shoot at the big brown doors in the middle.
5. Glide Just after you have bee spotter, this is on your left. It only gets a billboard and I don't think it counts.
6. Missile After area 5 look for a large pile of rocks falling in front of you to your right, you can then shoot these.
7. Missile Look out for rocks falling to your right again. You should be able to shoot these as well.
8. Missile Once again rocks will fall to your right and you can shoot them. All 3 of these times will happen soon after each other so juts keep an eye out. This last one is juts before you go down beside the sea.

1. In Missile #4 area.
2. In Missile #6 area.
3. In Missile #7 area
4. In Missile #8 area

Jungle Rumble

Buddy Areas (3)

1. Dash At the first big area, excluding the beginning area, on your right as you enter.
2. Violet Also in the first big area, at the back on the left. You will see a big fire.
3. Mr. Incredible In the second area, where you need to jump over blue lasers, when you land instead of going toward Mirage, turn right and this buddy area is through the tunnel.

Character Coins (4)

1. Right at the start, using night vision, there is a large dark tunnel to the left, the coin is inside.
2. In Dash's buddy area.
3. In Violet's buddy area.
4. In Mr. Incredible's buddy area.

Omnidroid Dash

Buddy Areas (3)

1. Violet If you stay on the highest route from the start you will come to a zipline on your right. Across this zipline is a large fire for Violet.
2. Mr. Incredible After smashing the glass with the big rocks, you will be running on black ground with yellow rails. Keep to the right path (this path has a lot of jumping). Once you finish jumping the buddy area is on your right.
3. Dash After Mr. Incredible's buddy area, you will interact with a few ziplines. If you hold on until the very end you should land on a platform with some broken arms from the Omnidroid. If you turn around and fall off the back of the platform you should see Dash's area to the left.

Character Coins (4)

1. In the only night vision place. I entered in the exit which is easier to describe. The exit is just across from Violet's buddy area. But the entrance is on the left just before you slide down before Violet's.
2. In Violet's buddy area.
3. In Mr. Incredible's buddy area.
4. In Dash's buddy area.

1. Mr. Incredible The first time you meet the Omnidroid, instead of fighting turn left and find this buddy area.
2. Violet The second time you encounter the Omnidroid, instead of fighting, run to the right and find the fire for Violet.
3. Dash Just to the right of Violet's buddy area.

Character Coins (4)

1. In Mr. Incredible's buddy area. (This did not appear for me the first time I went into the area!)
2. In the night vision area to your left as you meet the Omnidroid for the second time.
3. In Violet's buddy area.
4. In Dash's buddy area.

Thanks for putting together these guides. My son started playing this game yesterday. Just curious where you would find the character coins in let's say the first one(Fancy Drivin) where you are basically racing. You mention areas. Where are these areas? I'm only just watching him play the question is probably pretty obvious.

Area 1 is the first buddy area, or in Cars case, the first missisle/glide area. The location is described just above the character coins.

Cars

Fancy Drivin'

Glide and Missile areas-
1(Missile) - Not long after beginning if you keep to your left you will find a short section of very severe bumps, and after this you will find a large rock to shoot missiles at.
2(Glide) - After the big corner, where you can ride the wall, you will come to a small farm area. This glide is right in the middle as you enter.
3(Missile) - After the helicopter takes off in the canyon, keep to the right after the big brown balls drop and you will find large rocks to shoot at.
4(Glide) - Just after the paint balls start shooting at you you should see a small tunnel on your left. This is filled with the obstacles with fire drawn on them. The glide is at the end of this tunnel.

Character Coins-
1- In area 1.
2- In area 2.
3- In area 3.
4- In area 4.

The character coins are matched by colour to the location of the missile/glide area.
For this specific episode there should be one character coin in every Missile/Glide area.

I'm having trouble finding the character coin in the last Ratatouille level - Stop that Chef. The one I can't find is supposedly where you have to use glide to reach it after sliding down. I've followed this guide but just cannot see the token anywhere. Doesn't appear after multiple restarts of the level either. Any help would be much appreciated as its the last thing I need to get in this game.

Well once you slide down the big white slide you should come to the kitchen floor. Go to the far right and climb the ramp, cross buddy area 2 and continue to stay up high. You should eventually see a gliding spot to your left. Glide across this gap and you will land on a white table cloth with blue stripes at the side. If your look up you should see the coin there. It looks unreachable, so if you jump and glide you should be able to grab on to the edge and your character will pull himself up and then you should see it right in front of you.

I am confirming coins 3 and 4 are in those 2 missile areas and the only thing you need for the buddy areas are the missele ones. The other 2 abilities aren't needed.
