Trick Guide

NOTICE: All the following information, and more, can be found by accessing the Backpack (Back button) and selecting Trick Book at the bottom of the screen. The Trick Book includes all tricks, for the Tricked Out achievement, as a checklist, and includes how to do each trick.

Stance Guides:
Regular Stance:

Goofy Stance:

Late Shuvit and Late FS Shuvit:
- Ollie normally, and then once the Right Stick has gotten to the top and the ollie is complete, move the RS either down around the circle to the left for a Late Shuvit, or down to the right for a Late FS Shuvit. These also work as nollies, but the nollie is a seperate trick from the Shuvit.

Late Flips and Backfoot FLips: -JJBDude
- To do late flips just do an Ollie and then straight after whilst you just reach the peak of your ollie do the Kickflip flick and you will do a Late Flip (also works in Nollie). To do a Late Backfoot Flip do the same as before but you have to change your stance in mid air. So for example do an Ollie then the motion for a Nollie Kickflip, this will do a Late Backfoot Kickflip.

Grabs Tricks:
Coffin (land on your butt):
- Hold both triggers and B. You can continue to hold them, even throughout the landing.

Christ Air:
- Hold either L or R with B. I haven't gotten enough air to do it yet but if you do it for a short amount of time, he just takes the board out from under him and puts it back.

Rocket Air:
- Ollie then hit the R stick back down and hold it down, then hold R trigger down, then hold L trigger down--eventually you'll be holding them all down but you have to do it in that order.

Back/Front Flips:
-They can be executed by launching from a ramp or kicker and holding either LT or RT and pulling the left stick either up or down, depending on the type of flip.

Grinds: -JJBDude
It's all about how you move your body into them, it's simple. If you are a skateboarder in real life chances are you know about all the grinds and slides the sport has to offer, therefore you know the positions the skater needs to get into to pull them off. I'll write up a little definition of what each grind is.

Overcrook - Back truck goes over rail and land in a Crook
Crooked - Front truck in angle on rail with back truck facing upwards
Feeble - Front truck goes over rail and back truck lands on rail, board faces down
Smith - Same as Feeble but Front truck doesn't go over rail

There's a couple, let me know if anyone wants to know more. Also every trick can be done FS or BS, for a rail if you approach the rail with your body facing towards it then it is FS, it's BS if your back is towards it. For example if your skating Goofy (left foot at back right on front) you need to skate on the right side of the rail to do a FS trick.

Powerslide:
To Powerslide, while on the ground, move the left Stick up and go left around to the bottom in a half circle.
To BS Powerslide, do the same thing in a right half circle.
To Revert, while on the ground, move the stick up and do a Counter-Clockwise circle. If you do a Clockwise circle you will do a BS Revert.

I still don't know simple moves like nose and tail grabs. Any help?

It's a glitch which the developers are well aware of, they promised it will be fixed sometime this week.

I figured out how to do a couple "Late" flips.

The first one i did by accident, "Late Kickflip", and cannot recreate, even after a half an hour. But i did figure out how to do late Shuvits and FS shuvits.

From Regular, to "Late Shuvit", move ollie like normal, and then once the RS has reached the top, move it around the circle down to the left. A FS Shuvit is reversed, down to the left.

The same is done for Late Flips and Late Backfoot Flips avengerRPM. To do late flips just do an Ollie and then straight after whilst you just reach the peak of your ollie do the Kickflip flick and you will do a Late Flip (also works in Nollie). To do a Late Backfoot Flip do the same as before but you have to change your stance in mid air. So for example do an Ollie then the motion for a Nollie Kickflip, this will do a Late Backfoot Kickflip.

Yeah, thanks. I tried that today, works great.

Anyone have a good idea yet of how grinds really work? I added a Grinds section, and was trying to figure out how to do specific grinds. It seems like sometimes it is a combination of RS and LS placement, and other times it seems to be really, really random. Any help?

I just realised you didn't have Powerslides & Reverts in here. I don't know if that's just too basic to be in here but I'll post it anyway.

I'll just go ahead and sticky this. It's pretty darn useful. I also copied that flip trick guide and shrunk it down because it was a tad too big for the screen. I'm pretty anal like that so I just made it smaller. Other then that, if anyone has anything else to add I'll be sure to edit it in or Avenger will.

thanks perpetual. MY FIRST STICKY!!! haha.

kind of had been hoping this would happen.

EDIT: the pic does not need to be there, you could replace the "link to guides" with the appropriate pics that they link to. otherwise the current pic is exactly what one of the links is. i would link them, but they would be too large, as you had already said.

The best way to do any late flip, is when you've done your ollie, release the RS to it's original position, then perform the flip move whilst still in midair. It takes some time to get it right (as you have to be pretty quick), but I can do them 9 times outta 10 now with this method.

(You can add that to the first post if you like, Avenger. It might come in handy)

thanks perpetual.

The picture there is fine. It's not that big anyways and it's more convenient seeing as some people just don't want to click on a link.

(You can add that to the first post if you like, Avenger. It might come in handy)
If it isn't done like that then it's not a late flip. Hence the "late" portion of the trick.
