Problem with Zeta Team Go

I searched this forum and Google but couldn't find anything about this. When two friends and I tried this tonight with two guest controllers signed in like the achievement guide said we weren't getting the game to spawn us as the character skins we picked. We changed our multiplayer settings to the appropriate skins and at the menu before the match started but when the game loads it spawns all five of us as Marcus. Occasionally, one of us will be the proper skin but usually it's five Marcus skins. Is there something obvious that we are missing? Pretty annoying either way. Thanks for any help.

Did you try completing one whole match and see if you are the right character on the next map? Not really sure, worked fine for me.

This has been a recurring issue for my friends and I ever since the RAAM dlc. If you let yourself die and fail the wave, restarting usual corrects the problem.

Backing out to the title screen works like a charm for me.
