Ok, I thought I would put this on here as I have so many games that I am forever getting updates for but never know what they actually do. Maybe I am just looking in the wrong places but I think a more centralised list would be a lot better.

So this thread is for all to contribute. If a game gets an update, post what the game is, the date of the update, version (if known), and most importantly what the update does (i.e. fixes glitched achievements. leaderboards, etc). If that is unknown post it anyway and hopefully someone else can fill it the blanks later. If you think you know what it includes please add the description in italic so it can be updated with the exact details when they become available. Also any links would be useful. I will then create a Thread in each of the games forums so it is easy for anyone to find.

- The only change I’ve discovered is Fast App Switching support. It’s been tough finding anyone involved with the Windows Phone Tetris port – be sure to chime in if you know anybody.

Game: Gravity Guy

- Added Fast App Switching support
- Added the Rescue chapter to Story Mode (29 new levels)
- Added two paid DLCs:
- Slowdowns: Slows down the game for 90 seconds. It's like "bullet time"
- Shields: Gravity Guy gets a shield which prevents him from dying if he gets hit by the chaser. The shield durability is one shot.

Game: Ghostscape

- Fixed translation error in the Spanish build that was causing lock-ups.

Game: Farm Frenzy 2

Game: Plants Vs Zombies

- It changes the game’s description in the Games hub from PvZ to Plants vs. Zombies.
- It fixed the power button glitch which enabled you to exit and endless vase and I zombie modes and then restart on start of wave (according to jordan40).

-I am guessing it fixes the glitch where if you haven't got all the stars on a level you have to beat your previous high score for it to save that you have unlocked the all the stars.

*This does not seem to be the case. I have reached level 25 and 26 and still no achievement.



Game: TextTwist2
Date of Update: 7th February 2012

Update Description:
- Daily Word mode can now be played daily after the first round is completed (days are measured in UTC time).
- Achievements based on completing multiple rounds of games modes (‘Apprentice,’ ‘Journeyman,’ and ‘Grand Master’) can now be unlocked.
- The ‘Lightning Bolt’ Achievement, for completing a Lightning round with no hints, is now achievable.

• Keep ‘em coming: Buy a skip pack in the store
• Big Spender: Buy 3 coin packs

New List

• Curiosity Killed Monsters: Earned 750 coins and spent them on a new character in the Monster Island store!
• Keep ‘em coming: Earned 1500 Coins and spent them on solutions in the Monster Island store!
• Big Spender: Earned a total of 2500 coins and spent them in the Monster Island store!

V2.2 should be available shortly and will reduce how often you see “Can’t connect to Xbox LIVE” or “Can’t connect to Wordament.net”. While there are still situations where those errors will legitimately display themselves, they are now even more resilient to network failures.



Game: Shuffle Party

- Game stability issues fixed. We had noticed more crash reports when connected to a Network than we could stand for.

Game: Crimson Dragon: Side Story

• The correct unlock condition for this achievement is ”Use the in-game GPS feature to collect 50 Jewels.” To help out, the game now shows how many jewels you have earned in the GPS check-in screen.

• Fixed a rare issue that could cause the game save to disappear

• Fixed an issue with English text being displayed incorrectly in a Chinese language environment.

• Fixed the issue where the GPS distance calculation was not functioning properly.

• The game will now correctly calculate the distance travelled from the last check-in location even if the game is not left on. The game will also now automatically check in on game boot.

• Changes have been made to the GPS Specialist Achievement

• Given the fix to the GPS distance calculation, the achievement “GPS Specialist” should now be much easier to unlock.

Click on the Marketplace on your phone and you will see a little update notification at the bottom of the screen. Click on that and install updates.

Got 4 updates yesterday. Seen that two of them were NFS: Hot Pursuit and Battlewagon but missed the other two. I know they were both one of the free games so can someone confirm please.

I had updates for both Breeze and Minesweeper. Don't know what the updates have done though.

So that's five then as don't even have Breeze any longer. Can anyone confirm what the other update was. Think it must have been either Sudoku or Shuffle Party.

Edit: Think I worked out that it is Sudoku judging by the version numbers.

I updated Sudoku and Minesweeper yesterday. Have no idea what the updates did though.

Edit: WhyTF are the updates not mentioned in the description of the game? All my apps on my old android phone would always mention the updates in the description. It's the little things that are so damn annoying! lol

Edit 2: Hell, even some of my indie games (like taptitude) show their update notes.

I know, it's absolutely crazy the updates themselves doesn't actually explain what they are for. Its the only reason I started this thread as its very hard to get an info about any of them.

Yeah, I got one today as well. I thought the same tbh but all the other updates I got at the weekend installed so it seems it has been updated again. When I checked the previous one it was 1.1.0.0. Look at the bottom of the list as I have put in two Minesweeper entries in the last week. Again no idea as to what they do like several other of the updates. Very annoying not being able to even find a changelog on the net.

the update for Minesweeper is really cool. It tells you how much XP you need for certain powers. It also DOUBLED the amount of tokens you have which is fun. And, best of all I think, it tells you how much XP you win from various modes

It's just crazy there is no where to find the official change logs for these updates. Just looking at the list you can see how many we have no clue about.

Yea, I honestly do not understand that. Is Microsoft not aware that we would like to know why we are updating games/apps or something? Maybe I should write them a lengthy angry e-mail...I hear those tend to work
