Game won't save?

Every time I leave the game and try to play again it does not save my progress.

How does it save or is it supposed to autosave and is not doing so properly? Am I not shutting it down right?

After tinkering with it I have figured out you have to correct ID and sign in even if you are already signed in, WTH?
