A-Maze-Ing Impossible?

Trying to get the DANGER star on the A-Maze-Ing level (4th tier of The Lab) and the G is apparently impossible to get. I'm not touching either side of spikes and I still somehow die.

its not impossible to get. try leaning back to squeeze in. it might take a few tries but i had no trouble getting it.

Will do. I've died for apparently no reason 20 or so times X_X. Tried changing character and everything (was playing as Santa Joe)

santa joe seems to be a bit more jolly with the quad than any of the 2 wheeled characters.
