New South Park RPG

i just wanted to know everyone's opinion on the news of a new South Park full retail RPG. Written by Trey Parker and Matt Stone and developedby Obsidian.

Great potential.

Lets hope Obsidian doesn't muck this one up

Hoping it's good though, I love me some south park. Also hope they don't try MP. Far too many games have that.

Definitely like the potential this has! I will post highlights from the new GameInformer once I get my hands on it (kinda like I did for the Gears of War 3 DLC and Rainbow Six Patriots) for those who don't get the magazine.

I'm kinda excited to see how it will play out. I remember playing the South Park game on the 64. I don't know if anymore came out for consoles after that, other than Arcade and iPhone/Android.

wow i cant wait to get that addition of game informer, mine hasnt come yet this month :O. interested to read all about it when my mag comes.

i did play the other sp game, the TD in the arcade. actually liked it a lot, mostly because im a TD / strategy nerd but thats ok :P. the game was a little cheesy but fun and easy to play. im hoping this retail game is a great spin off the show, ive seen every episode 10+ times (minus the newer crappy seasons)

I'll wait for the reviews but as long as it gets anything 6/10 or above I'll pick it up because I'm a fan. Unless there are some awesome ingame preorder bonuses then I'll go ahead and preorder.

yeah apparently you play the new kid in town. Which in my opinion is kind of ballsy seeing as how it's a property with millions of fans and I know people would love to play an RPG as Cartman or Butters. But I have faith in it. I'm with hydrosugar on the MP aspect, although I wouldn't mind playing a little co-op if they could pull it off, and after Dungeon Siege III I have faith in Obsidian again.

The N64 South Park game was a blast, I thought the tower defense game on xbox live arcade was a little lacking in the fun department. Here's hoping to an amazing new South Park rpg.

When I get mine I was like why is South Park on the cover.... sounds like it should be a fun and interesting game....

I got it because I liked South Park. It was my first ever TD game(I think). But I still liked it, at first because it was South Park. But then the gameplay grew on me and I even became half decent at it. It's probably my fav XBLA game.

So given this is a full retail release, in a genre I know a little more about, this skyrockets to the top of my most wanted list.

Gamestop is showing 12/31/12. Yet if anybody knows Gamestop, they'll tell you that date is about as certain as the end of the world. It's gonna happen, just not on the day you say it will.

Its just a placement date. They either put that or TBA. Means nothing.

To me this looked like a fighter game that the camara is always on the side, I was hoping for a kinda 3D one where you can pan the camara all around them ow well we will see what's its like defiantly a must buy

Has the 5th of March 2013 on the trailer that they showed at E3.

Defiantly going to get the game when it comes out.
