This week Super Meat Boy is part of Microsofts Black Friday Sale / Xbox LIVE Fan Appreciation Sale and can be purchased for 400 MSP instead of 1200 MSP.

Super Meat Boy

Super Meat Boy is a tough as nails platformer where you play as an animated cube of meat who's trying to save his girlfriend (who happens to be made of bandages) from an evil fetus in a jar wearing a tux. Our meaty hero will leap from walls, over seas of buzz saws, through crumbling caves and pools of old needles. Sacrificing his own well being to save his damsel in distress. Super Meat Boy brings the old school difficulty of classic retro titles we all know and love and stream lines them down to the essential no bull straight forward twitch reflex platforming. Ramping up in difficulty from hard to soul crushing SMB will drag Meat boy though haunted hospitals, salt factories and even hell itself. And if 300+ single player levels weren't enough SMB also throws in epic boss fights, tons of unlock able secrets, warp zones and hidden characters.

Furthermore Team Meat announced that they're going to add tons of new levels to the game (for free) by the end of the sale early next week.

That's great news for the new levels, and the deal. I actually just got this game last night a couple hours before I went to sleep. Can't wait to get back to it. Very very fun gameplay. I've heard it's insanely difficult, and I'm seeing if this is how it starts, it will be a very long game.

I hummed and hawed, but ended up picking this up. I won't have time to play for a few months haha! At that price, couldn't say no though.

Anyone who likes old skool platformers should pick this up, it's the BEST Arcade title released in this generation.

Just picked this game up, and it is awesome! and for 400 ms points you cant beat it.

Picked this up when it was on sale. Amazing game but DAMN can it be frustrating. Once you start getting used to it though, earlier levels feel like a joke. You sit there going, "Can't believe I had trouble with this before!". Requires some serious skillz.

I've been playing this game for on and off for about a year. My save was wiped off my hard drive some how, and when I picked it back up 2 weeks ago I almost died. Haha. I just finished the game and got my Golden God Achievement. What a proud moment.
