Pontiac (Online) ~20 points
 Pontiac (Online) ~20 pointsQualify for the Pontiac Virtual NCAA® Final 4® and complete at least one game in the tournament. It looks like this achievement may not be glitched after all. http://virtualfinal4.2ksports.com/ Visit the link above and and register under "how to play." Once you have registered you will be able to view how many games you have completed in the leaderboard. Next you will need to complete 10 ranked games before March 14, 2008 to qualify for the tournament. On March 14, 2008 (the last day of the Tournament Qualification Period), all players are required to "check in" for the Tournament by going to the Tournament website at (http://virtualfinal4.2ksports.com) and clicking "Check In". Now just complete one game in the tournament and the achievement is yours.

Wow, thanks for the info. I will be getting the game here in the next few days. I remember trying to get this achievement in 2k7, couldn't figure it out though.

To any one that is trying to get the achievment You have to check in today by 11:59pm eastern time to at least have a chance to qualify I hope i make it number 1130 qualify rank so You must check in today just go on the website and click check in

I think I read in the fine print somewhere that they're taking the top 2500 or so. Also, pretty sure you just have to play 10 games, not 10 wins.
A lot of people will have enough games to qualify, but won't register and check in, so I'd guess maybe top 3500 or so and you're good.

Ya, it says they'll take the top 2,048, but looking at some pages in the 1000s almost 75% of people didn't check in and it is now closed so there should be lots of room for people to move up.
And yes you only had to play 10 games, I won 7 of my 10 and I'm in the 1300s right now, anyway. |

How do you check your current rank? I only played the minimum ten games, in addition to two others I played before. I think I won like seven or so.

Achievement Not Glitched!
Greetings to all my friends on x360a ... I just wanted to pass down a message in the Pontiac Online forum that this achievement is not glitch. I just competed in my online match and have received my achievement.
If you were one lucky enough to qualify for this tourney, congrats on being one of at most 1000 people that would be able to legitimately get this achievement!

I also was lucky enough to get the achievement and am 1 of 21 people with 1000/1000 on this game. I missed being first to finish 1 lol.

I like the idea behind these achievements but it really bites those who buy/rent the game later. I wish companies would make all the points in the game attainable whenever you play it.

Yeah, I agree. Game is $13 at Amazon and it would be nice to get a full 1000 GS but now that I see it will only be 980 max, it will always leave me wanting to get the last 20GS points.

I don't like these type of achievements. Although I did manage to get this one, in Fifa 09 I didn't get the Interactive Leagues one in time...it's very upsetting.
