The Top 5 Hardest Games

What I mean is, games that are HONESTLY challenging, hard because they were designed that way, not because of control or design malfunctions (otherwise, crap like Total Recall [NES] would be on the list).

1. Ninja Gaiden Black [Xbox]
2. Sega Rally Championship [Saturn]
3. GunValkyrie [Xbox]
4. Devil May Cry 3 [PS2]
5. Final Fantasy 4 [PS1, GBA] (NOTE: The SNES version had the difficulty reduced drastically)

This forum is for anything and everything, not just the 360. But anyways, those games are all pretty tough. For some reason, I found Top Gun for NES to be pretty difficult. I could never manage to land on the aircraft carrier. COD2 was also very difficult but I managed to make it all the way through on Veteran difficulty.

I haven't played anything on the 360 that has difficulty to match what I have on my list. I probably won't until Ninja Gaiden 2 releases.

SECONDED and THIRDED actually. That game is amazing and god awful at the same time. I can get to the fourth maybe fifth lvl. But not to get off topic for the 360 the hardest game i have played would be Robotron, Rootbeer Tapper, or COD's on Vet.

I can't think up for five games, but the hardest game I've run into has been the original Call of Duty on Veteran.

Let's just say that trying to destroy a German Battle Cruiser in the Atlantic by yourself isn't pleasant.

yeah pacman is hard. I'm serious! Those ghost are a b**ch!

btw COD2 on vetern isn't that hard. only level that's hard is the silo.....

Hey I did find King Kong hard, hard to stay awake during...haha

for real though....what about the super star wars on snes....or on 360 well, cod's on vet, or forza 2 on hardcore? can u imagine beating the entire game like that.

every one is talking of r6:v on realistic...i did it on my first play through to get the achievement right away and it wasn't THAT hard, except for 2 or 3 parts in the game.
and for the hard games: guitar hero 2(on expert), cod 3 on veteran(all glitchy...not fun to play at all)

Burnout 4 Revenge the achievements on that were so hard for me
Tomb Raider i played this when i was 6 i had no idea what to do

contra is the most difficult game ever, i see quite a few of you are saying ninja gaiden! ninja gaiden isn't a difficult game, the fact is that you are just crap at playing it, especially the xbox version if you where to be saying difficult for the old ones then i'd agree because they where deadly.

no game i've encountered yet is as difficult as contra.
