xKRAIZEEMANx
Are you going to give credit to where ever you took this information from? It has been done. And thanks for pointing that out, slight oversight on my behalf, as I did a bit of editing, and a lot of compiling from all the different links on that page. xKRAIZEEMANx
im using a diff guide which seems to be off , some places mentioned dont have any books etc.. ill try yours. Some of them are in weird spots, like inside a basket, or stuffed in between a bedpost and a dresser. Some of them you have to search for. It is to be noted: The ones inside of taverns or shops usually are sitting under their main counter (not always). Nice! Bookmarked. Thanks! Your welcome, hope it helps! BBowles
If only someone would do a convenient guide of books by location I'm lazy....ctrl + f is hard work. Kind of curious if you can get the achievement by only visiting the major cities...

Kind of curious if you can get the achievement by only visiting the major cities... I like this idea. That way when you're in a certain location, you can simply look at your list and say, oh there are 3 books here that I should get. Too bad the list isn't in a table format cuz then you can dump it into Excel and sort by location....

TombRaiser
Thanks for this guide. It's a great help in getting the book achievement. Just a little note, I was searching for skill books in Markarth, but at first I was only able to find 3 in searching (I used Ctrl+F on this page) ...but there are more than 3 listed on the page, you just have Markarth spelled incorrectly on a few, it's written "Markath". So that's why I couldn't find the rest in my search.

Alora
This is not listed but I just found "Heavy Armor Foraging" skill book for Smithing in Pinepeak Cavern near Ivarstead. It does not state whether it's a volume book though. Are there more than 10? Or is this something random? For anyone who wants to verify, the cave is right north of the bridge that leads to the 7000 steps. There's a bear guarding the entrance and only 1 bear inside. fastNcurious
I found a copy of The Marksmanship Lesson in the Jorrvaskr building in Whiterun. Downstairs in the living quarters, second room on the left/west. It's inside a display case along with an elven bow. The case has an expert lock on it. Edit: Additional suggestions. 1) Can you add "Whiterun" to the end of Songs of Hrormir 1. Jorrvaskr Living Quarters. That way anyone searching for all books in Whiterun will be able to find it easier/faster. 2) For the following: The Black Arts on Trial You will find one in Falkreath Jail and second within White Phial store in Whiterun. I haven't gotten this far yet, but if the book is really at the White Phial, then can you change the last word from Whiterun to Windhelm (because the White Phial is in Windhelm and not Whiterun)? Thanks! Edited November 26, 2011 by fastNcurious
TombRaiser
I found 2 more listed in the guide for Markarth in need of name correction: Sun’s Dawn, Volume 2 1. Temple of Dibella, Malkarth, inner sanctum. Herbalit’s Guide to Skyrim 1. Hag’s Cure, Makarth. I ended up finally finding all the books there and getting my achievement. I'm glad that's over. DecadentBeaver
Seeing as you only need 50/90, I can't see how this achievement is hard? Got mine without any guide, and just exploring my way through Skyrim. Still a good guide though.

fastNcurious
Seeing as you only need 50/90, I can't see how this achievement is hard? Got mine without any guide, and just exploring my way through Skyrim. Still a good guide though. I think the guide is helpful if someone doesn't explore thoroughly, but more importantly, I find it helpful for leveling up specific skills. With this guide, if I wanted to level up my archery, for example, I know exactly where to hunt down the archery skill books.
