No cheats +Does difficulty affect achievements? No +Glitchy achievements? None +Unobtainable achievements? None +Extra equipment needed? No INTRODUCTION: Welcome to this Achievement Guide & Road Map for the highly anticipated addition to the Elder Scrolls saga; Skyrim. Let's state the obvious first: Skyrim is a massive game. The world is so alive and interesting, it will probably keep you occupied for the next days, weeks, months and even years to come. With Oblivion, I probably spent around 200 hours on it myself, and there is still stuff in that game I never did. This game is even bigger, God knows how much time I will spend on this beauty. Anyway, let's get this guide started without further delay. Let's start with the only missable achievement in the game, the one labeled "Oblivion Walker". This achievement requires you to find 15 Daedric Artifacts, and since you can decide to not receive the gift when it's presented to you, this achievement is missable. So be wary of that when you start playing! Apart from that, you can stop looking at this guide already if you reallY want to, because once you complete the game it's no problem to come back if you're stuck at something. For the ones who want a strict path to 1000G, here is a step by step tour to Skyrim: STEP 1 - COMPLETE THE MAIN QUEST By completing the Main Quest you'll unlock 170http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.png. Like Oblivion, the Main Quest isn't very long if you decide to focus on getting that out of the way (20 quests is all it takes). Note that when you complete the Epilogue of the game, you're free to roam Skyrim as you please, mopping up all other achievements. Now, just remember about the Daedric Artifacts, and you'll be fine. STEP 2 - COMPLETE ALL SIDE QUESTS AND OBJECTIVES This will take up a big part of your time to 1000http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.png. With such a big world, it's a daunting task to start searching for everything that needs to be done in order for these achievements to unlock. This step will earn you 300http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.png and bring your total up to at least 470http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.png. STEP 3 - EXPLORING AND COLLECTIBLES In this step you should focus on mopping up those things you still need to earn all those "Find, "Collect" or "Explore" X. This step should give you the Standing Stones, clearing 50 Dungeons, discover 100 locations, read 50 skill books, find 15 Daedric Artifacts, absorb 20 Dragon Souls, as well as learning 20 shouts. Some of these might unlock as you progress through the first couple of steps. This step is worth 260http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.png if you only unlock everything mentioned above. STEP 4 - MOPPING UP THOSE MISC ACHIEVEMENTS Most of these achievements will be earned throughout the game as you naturally explore and make your way through the steps above. If you still have some achievements missing when you reach the end of Step 3, consult the guide below for a detailed description on how to get you to the full 1000http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.png. Once you're done, pat yourself on the back and dwelve back into the game. Just because you got the full 1000 doesn't mean there isn't more to see. Aruwal
http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/908/UP3b3z8=.jpg Sideways - 20http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.png Complete 10 side quests Complete 10 Side Quests for this to unlock. You can track your progress on the “Side Quests Completed” counter on your Journal’s Stats page, but because of the sheer number and variety of quests, it can be confusing to figure out which will count towards this goal. NOTE: The Main Quest, Daedric Quests, and major Faction Quests do not count, nor do Miscellaneous Objectives. The following Side Quests count towards this achievement: Other Factions: Tending the Flames (The Bard’s College Quest), The Heart of Dibella (Temple Quest), The Blessings of Nature (Temple Quest), The Book of Love (Temple Quest) Side Quests: Blood on the Ice, Forbidden Legend , The Forsworn Conspiracy, No One Escapes Cidhna Mine, The Golden Claw, In My Time of Need, Kyne’s Sacred , Laid to Rest, Lights Out!, The Man Who Cried Wolf, The Wolf Queen Awakened, Missing in Action, Promises to Keep, A Return to Your Roots, Rise in the East, Rising at Dawn, Unfathomable Depths, The White Phial, Repairing the Phial Dungeon Quests: Repentance, Siege of the Dragon Cult, The Pale Lady, A Scroll for Anska, Ancestral Worship, The Lost Expedition, Infiltration, Evil in Waiting, Silenced Tongues. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/908/UPw7J6w=.jpg Hero of the People - 30http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.png Complete 50 Misc Objectives This keeps track of how many Miscellaneous Objectives you’ve completed. So, the more of those you’ve grayed out, the better! Miscellaneous Objectives that are part of a chain (such as those for Dungeon Quests: The Legend of the Eagle) each count individually toward this reward. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/908/UPmZzFU=.jpg Hard Worker - 10http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.png Chop wood, mine ore, and cook food Complete these three activities unsing the appropriate stations to unlock the achievement. Some general tips to get this rather simple achievement: Cooking: Requires a Cooking Pot or Cooking Spit, which can be found in every town and village across Skyrim. Almost every house has one by the fireplace. To cook, interact with the pot/spit to bring up the Cooking Menu, which lists all food you can cook. All recipes are available at any time, as long as you have the ingredients for them. Mining: Throughout Skyrim there are a variety of natural mineral deposits, and apart from giving you a small amount of gold, they also helps you gather raw materials for Smithing (which can save you a huge amount of money during your adventure). To mine ore, approach an ore vein with a Pickaxe and interact with it. Wood Chopping: There are a number of Wood Chopper Blocks throughout Skyrim, which allow you to execute this most simple of all Crafting exercises. For this you need a Woodcutter’s Axe, which can be purchased from almost any General Store Merchant or found at any lumber mill. Simply approach the Wood Chopper Block, interact with it, and you begin chopping. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/908/UPh5NMY=.jpg Thief - 30http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.png Pick 50 locks and 50 pockets This achievement is obviously easiest to obtain if you play with a Stealth-focused character, but can be completed with every type of character in the game. Throughout the course of the game you will encounter numerous locks to pick and pockets to rob. 50 of each, and this achievement is yours. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/908/UPpYPXM=.jpg Snake Tongue - 10http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.png Successfully persuade, bribe, and intimidate In several quests you will encounter situations where you can persuade, bribe and intimidate to get what you want. A high rank in these skills will, naturally, ease your efforts in getting this achievement. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/908/UP2uxW0=.jpg Blessed - 10http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.png Select a Standing Stone blessing See “Standing Stones”. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/908/UPxOPf4=.jpg Standing Stones - 30http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.png Find 13 Standing Stones Throughout the wilderness of Skyrim, you can find thirteen ancient and powerful standing stones. Etched into each is the sign of one of the major constellations known throughout Tamriel. Touch the Stone, and you can choose to receive its blessing. You’ll focus the stone, and a bolt of pure magic arcs to the heavens. This blessing is now permanent, until you visit a different Stone and receive its blessing, which supersedes the previous one. Standing Stones can be divided into two major sets: 4 Skill Improvement Stones, and 9 Other Stones. SKILL IMPROVEMENT STONES: The Warrior Stone: Located at The Guardian Stones (Falkreath Hold). Combat skills increase 20% faster. The Thief Stone: Located at The Guardian Stones (Falkreath Hold). Stealth skills increase 20% faster. The Mage Stone: Located at The Guardian Stones (Falkreath Hold). Magic skills increase 20% faster. The Lover Stone: Located in The Reach. All skills improve 15% faster. OTHER STONES: The Apprentice Stone: Located in Hjaalmarch Hold. Recover Magicka twice as fast; twice as vulnerable to magic. The Atronach Stone: Located in Eastmarch Hold. 50 extra points of magicka, 50% absorb spells, -50% magicka regen. The Lady Stone: Located in Falkreath Hold. Regenerate Health and Stamina 25% faster. The Lord Stone: Located in The Pale. 50 points of damage resistance, 25% magic resistance. The Ritual Stone: Located in Whiterun Hold. Raises all dead around you to fight for you. The Serpent Stone: Located in Winterhold Hold. Paralyze the target for 5 seconds, and do 25 points of damage. The Shadow Stone: Located in The Rift. Invisibility for 60 seconds. Aruwal
http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/908/UP5vNEs=.jpg Citizen -10http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.png Buy a house When the time comes to establish yourself as more than just a wandering dragon-slayer, you can put down rootes in any of Skyrim’s Major Capitals by purchasing a house. Money isn’t enough though, and you will have to earn the trust of the Jarl to be able to buy a house. Speak to him and complete his Quest or Favor, and you’re good to spend your money on the house of your choice. Approach the Steward and ask about purchasing a home. Pay him what he demands (prices are non-negotiable) and you’re given the key to your house. Achievement unlocked. You can buy one or all of the following houses: Proudspire Manor, Solitude (Haafingar Hold) – 25.000 Gold Vlindrel Hall, Markath (The Reach) – 8.000 Gold Breezehome, Whiterun (Whiterun Hold) – 5.000 Gold Hjerim, Windhelm (Eastmarch) – 12.000 Gold Honeyside, Riften (The Rift) – 8.000 Gold http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/908/UP+PzNg=.jpg Wanted - 10http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.png Escape from jail While exploring the Nine Holds of Skyrim, there are bound to be points in your adventure where you commit a Crime and have a Bounty placed on your head, whether this is a petty theft from a citizen of Markarth or an all-out assault on the city guard of Riften. Note that each of the Nine Holds have their own record of crimes and bounties, so you may be wanted in Haafinger Hold, but your bounty doesn’t transfer to neighboring Hjaalmarch, where you may still be considered a model citizen. Anyway, if you have a bounty on your head, and gets caught, you can decide if you want to pay the fine or go to jail (among some other options). In order to escape a prison (and earn this achievement) you have to accept going to jail to pay your debts to society. Note that some prisons are easier to escape than others, depending on their number of guards (Nobody can escape from Cidna Mine, fyi). The easiest prisons to escape from are Morthal (Hjaalmarch), Dawnstar (The Pale) and Falkreath (Falkreath Hold), as these only got a simple lock and a single jailor. Be quick though, as reinforcements may arrive! If you earn a bounty of 1000 in each of the Nine Holds, you’re also awarded with the achievement “Master Criminal”. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/908/UPotJyE=.jpg Married - 10http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.png Get married Sometimes it is lonely on the mist-filled pathways of Skyrim. You may yearn for companionship or even more (or is it just the 10 gamerscore?). If you want to share your life with someone, make your way to Riften and check the Bee and Barb tavern or the Temple of Mara for a talk with Maramal the priest. This begins the quest “The Bonds of Matrimony” which will unlock this achievement. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/908/UPvN37I=.jpg Artificer - 10http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.png Make a smithed item, an enchanted item, and a potion Alchemy: To create a potion you need to use alchemy. The process of Alchemy involves foraging for ingredients (Skyrim is filled with unique ingredients, such as mushrooms, flowers and crops), learning their effects (study the ingredients in your inventory. There are 4 effects to take into account, and you need to learn them all to be able to proceed), and then experimenting by combining them with other ingredients to make potions and poisons. For the sake of this achievement, I give you one easy potion to create: RESTORE HEALTH - Ingredients: Blue Mountain Flower, Butterfly Wing) Enchanting: Enchanting requires you to make short-term sacrifices for long-term rewards. The important choices you make throughout this process determines what items you can create, and how powerful they will be. The process of Enchanting involves imbuing an item with magical enchantments powered by soul energy. However, this is done at the expense of other enchanted items. To enchant you need an enchantment (learn an enchantment by disenchanting an item with the same base effect), a filled Soul Gem (found everywhere in the world), an unenchanted item (easy to find, you may even smither your own), and the Arcane Enchanter (one location close to your starting point are Anise’s Cabin across the river from Riverwood). Smithing: Smithing is the art of creating and improving weapons and armor, accomplished through a series of progressive improvements. Smithing is straightforward, fast, and reliable. Unlike Alchemy and Enchanting there are no complicated choices or arcane experiments to perform: You know what is needed to construct or improve an item, and what the end result of your sweat and toil will be. Your first step is to locate a Blacksmith’s Forge or Anvil. Interact with it, and a complete list of items you can create is shown. For a more detailed description on how to do these tasks, consult the in-game help system. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/908/UPns1gc=.jpg Master Criminal - 20http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.png Bounty of 1000 gold in all nine holds See “Wanted”. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/908/UPgMLpQ=.jpg Golden Touch - 30http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.png Have 100,000 gold You earn gold by bartering, trading, completing quests, as well as selling crafted weapons and armor and mixed potions. Aruwal
http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/908/UPsrOpo=.jpg Delver - 40http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.png Clear 50 dungeons This should come naturally as you progress through the game, as most dungeons are featured in your questline. Skyrim offers a huge world filled with dungeons and other areas. Clear out 50 of these dungeons to get this achievement. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/908/UPrLwgk=.jpg Skill Master - 40http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.png Get a skill to 100 There are 18 Skills in Skyrim, divided into three major sets: Combat, Magic, and Stealth. As each Skill increases, its primary effect improves; you also gain access to Perks in that Skill that can grant you powerful new abilities or bonuses. In order to earn this achievement you need to get one of your skills to 100. This is pretty time-consuming, as there is no quick way to get it. Yes, you can speed up the process, but it’s still going to take some time. Therefore, I suggest playing through the game like you normally would without focusing on this, and then go for the skill where your stats are highest when the Main Quest is completed. During your time in Skyrim, you’ll encounter people who’ve devoted their lives to their skill. These people are so-called trainers, and can help you on your way to become a more skilled player. Journeyman Trainers can inprove your Skill to 50, Expert Trainers can get you to 75, while Master Trainers can get you as close as 90. Though, to get to 100 you have to put in some work on your own! General tips in improving Skills: It’s better to increase your Skills and level up naturally There is no fixed “maximum level” for you to attain It’s better to save Skill Books for higher levels, when the amount of effort or the cost of training to increase a skill rises dramatically. If you have the gold, Training is always a good option. If you’re short on gold, try training in a Skill you haven’t used as much (these are less expensive). When you’re close to level up, ask yourself the following questions: Are there any Skill Books I could read? Are there any ingredients I haven’t sampled? Do I have a lot of ingredients to try create some potions? Do I have any ingots or smithing supplies to try Smithing my way up? http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/908/UPl1L8g=.jpg Explorer - 40http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.png Discover 100 Locations Skyrim features more tham 350 primary locations, and throughout the course of the game you should visit much more than the required 100 locations for this achievement to unlock. It might take some time, though. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/908/UPtUJn0=.jpg Reader - 20http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.png Read 50 Skill Books Skyrim features 90 unique Skill Books. Many of these are in towns or notable dungeons, making them among the most easily accessible copies. As there are no further improvements to a skill when you find the same book again, it isn’t necessary to find them all. But there are many more copies of each book out there in the wilds… A guide is to come showing you how to obtain each of them. The thorough adventurers among you should be able to track the 50 books required for this achievement without any guide throughout your adventure. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/908/UPq03u4=.jpg Daedric Influence - 10http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.png Acquire a Daedric Artifact See “Oblivion Walker” http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/908/UP8WNRc=.jpg Oblivion Walker - 30http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.png Collect 15 Daedric Artifacts This award is unlocked only after you’ve acquired 15 Daedric Artifacts. It is important to note that this award triggers only after you receive the artifact in question; some Daedric Quests can be finished without claiming their artifact. If this occurs, it may become impossible to receive this award! However, artifacts you’ve used, lost, sold, or dropped still count toward you total. The complete list of relevant artifacts is listed below. The Daedric Quests are unrelated to one another. Each has its own requirements, and some can only be started lated in your adventure. There is no idea time to begin one, simply seek out the ones that interest you, or complete the ones that you come across. Note: There are 16 quests that reward you with a Daedric Artifact, so you can afford to miss one of them, but only one! Please note that the Rueful Axe, which Clavicus Vile offers as an alternative to his artifact, does not count towards this Achievement! Artifact name (Daedric Lord) – Quest to obtain Artifact A * indicates the artifact can be permanently missed, depending on your choices. Azura’s Star OR the Black Star (Azura) – The Black Star Ebony Mail (Boethiah) – Boethiah’s Calling Masque of Clavicus Vile (Clavicus Vile) – A Daedra’s Best Friend* Oghma Infinium (Hermaeus Mora) – Discerning the Transmundane Savior’s Hide OR Ring of Hirchine (Hircine) – Ill Met By Moonlight Volendrung (Malacath) – The Cursed Tribe Mehrunes’ Razor (Mehrunes Dagon) – Pieces of the Past* Ebony Blade (Mephala) – The Whispering Door Dawnbreaker (Meridia) – The Break of Dawn Mace of Molag Bal (Molag Bal) – The House of Horrors Ring of Namira (Namira) – The Taste of Death* Skeleton Key (Nocturnal) – Thieves Guild Quest Spellbreaker (Peryite) – The Only Cure Sanguine Rose (Sanguine) – A Night to Remember Wabbajack (Sheogorath) – The Mind of Madness Skull of Corruption (Vaermina) – Waking Nightmares* Edited November 8, 2011 by Aruwal

You will earn this during the Main Quest “Dragon Rising”. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/908/UPzXxDE=.jpg Dragon Hunter - 20http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.png Absorb 20 dragon souls After completing the Main Quest “Dragon Rising”, begin fighting Dragons, searching for Dragon Mounds and exploring Dragon Lairs throughout the world. You should earn this achievement on your way to the “Thu’um Master” achievement, as learning shouts require you to slay several dragons on your way. A complete guide on how to find all Mounds and Lairs are to come. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/908/UP+89cQ=.jpg Words of Power - 10http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.png Learn all three words of a shout See “Thu’um Master”. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/908/UP5cDVc=.jpg Thu'um Master - 40http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.png Learn 20 shouts The Nords have long practiced a unique form of magic known as “The Way of the Voice”. Nords consider themselves to be the children of the sky, and the breath and the voice of a Nord is his vital essence. Through the use of the Voice, this power can be articulated into a Thu’um, or shout. Shouts can be used to sharpen blades, strike enemies at a distance, or command time itself to stand still. Masters of the Voice are known as Tongues, and their power is legendary. The most powerful Tongues cannot speak without causing destruction, and must remain gagged at all time, communicating through sign language and the scribing of runes. So, want to be gagged? Nah, you won’t be, but learn 20 different shouts and this achievement will unlock. To learn 1 shout you have to learn the three words related to it. Learning shouts is quite complex, but the game itself will teach it to you just fine. I therefore give you an example to follow, and go on from there. FROST BREATH: You begin by learning the word “Fo” (Frost), the first word of this Shout, from a Word Wall. After scouring the lands for the second syllable “Krah” (Cold) and third syllable “Diin” (Freeze), you spend three Dragon Souls to unlock all three Words. You can now use the weak, average, or strong version of this Shout. A complete guide on how to obtain all shouts is coming soon. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/908/UPx9BOI=.jpg Apprentice - 5http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.png Reach Level 5 See “Master”. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/908/UPv+5q4=.jpg Adept - 10http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.png Reach Level 10 See “Master”. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/908/UPg-F4g=.jpg Expert - 25http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.png Reach Level 25 See “Master”. http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/908/UPnf7xs=.jpg Master - 50http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.png Reach Level 50 As your skills increase, you gradually make progress towards gaining a level. There are several aspects of this process worth taking a closer look at: Improve what you use: The Skills you use will improve naturally as you use them. There is no need to go out of the way to improve a Skill you never plan to use, as this doesn’t level your character any faster, nor will it make it stronger and more effective. Use what you improve: When you select your perks, be sure to take full advantage of them. Don’t buy perks for things you yet have to aquire, or ain’t planning on using it in the near future. Patience and Perks: If you aren’t sure which perk to choose when you level up, or find yourself a few Skill points away from a perk you really want, it is usually better to save the choice for later. This gives you more flexibility and allows you to change your mind. Remember, once you select a perk, you can’t take it back! Tactical leveling: Leveling up fully restores you health, Magicka and Stamina. This can literally save your life in difficult battles. For example, when exploring a dungeon, you may want to wait and level up during the final (or most difficult) fight. Conversely, there is no point in hoarding Levels; once you begin leveling up, you must claim all of the levels you’ve earned. Follow these advices, and you will find it much easier to reach level 50. You may hear rumors about the Brotherhood and may even encounter an assassin who has in their possession a mysterious contract to kill you. But to experience as much of the Dark Brotherhood as you can, begin your investigations by locating the broken cart with the odd little jester, close to the Loreius Farm, on the road north to Whiterun. Complete the very first quest labeled “With Friends Like These…” and this achievement will unlock. During this questline you can also obtain the following achievements: “Bound Until Death” and “Hail Sithis!” how do you get this quest? i spoke to the guy in the broken cart and completed the quest "Delayed burial" by getting the guy to fix his cart... how do i get the next mission + not sure how far you've got but i reckon it will take much longer than 80 hours to 1K UPDATE, doesnt matter it appears i've been playing as Charlie Sheen, 73 hours in and finally went to sleep somewhere, wake up and theres the Dark Brotherhood Edited November 10, 2011 by rza_2002

Paka
Great work so far, thanks! :woop:The difficulty is a hard one to judge I know, but sort of figured it might get a lower rating there since it is more time-consuming than really tough. Nothing online, only one you can miss, difficulty has no effect.

DarkProphet83
about the standing stones, I don't get it, you can activate each one once? then switching to a new stone preclude forever the blessing of the previous one? for example, if I activate the warrior stone and then switch to the thief stone, can I go back to the warrior stone? Wildmn34
Nah, you can still pick away at it. But, it is Webb's guide so I doubt it will ever be Unstickied. People will still look at this one. Who knows, you may find a way to do something different than Webb to.
