Major Issue/Lag (Video)

someone else is probably hogging your bandwidth. Check no one else sharing your router is doing any demanding tasks (ie downloading).

This. And then if you nail down that no one in your house hold is doing anything of the sort check the network and see who's on it. You could have neighbors using your wifi. Just set up some password protection and keep them off. It won't stop the determined but it'll just keep honest people honest.

Of course if they are using it and connected at the time feel free to look at what they got on their harddrive. The "Taxes 1997" folder used to be a treasure trove in my experience of looking at what my nice neighbors had when sitting in their backyards syncing to my network. Of course it wasn't really taxes. Oh and typing messages via command prompt is fun too.

I have about two people using the internet, no downloading, just surfing, maybe a video stream here and there. Also password protected WPA2, it'll happen frequently then it'll stay good for awhile, but I figure something needs to change with my router. I do have wireless G running to my wireless N router, could that also be an issue? If so then I will be getting the Gears Xbox. Thanks guys.
