• Play as any of nine real samurai warriors from history: Musashi Miyamoto, Jubei Yagyu, Sanako Chiba, Ittosai Ito, Izo Okada, Soji Okita, Kojiro Sasaki, Ryoma Sakamoto and Yasubi Horibe
• Each samurai has different storylines, attributes and attack techniques
• Battles are loosely based on historical events including the raid of the Kira mansion and the battle at Ganryujima

Choose between 4 unique game play modes:

• Main Mode—Select a character and advance his/her storyline that interconnects with other character storylines.
• Mission Mode—Includes 10 different missions that must be completed within a set time limit.
• Combat Mode—Compete in a 2-player head-to-head match.
• Xbox Live Leaderboard: Connect to Xbox Live and compete against other gamers by pitting AI Characters against each other. Once the match has begun, your character will act according to his or her AI Traits. Your rank will change based on the outcome of the match, and you will be rewarded with various items for reaching certain ranks that you can use in game.

The online for this game is very strange. Here is how it works.

Upon completing the story with any character, you will have developed him in a unique way. He (or she) will have different skills and abilities based on how you play. For instance, if you mostly counter, your character "learns" the counter skill.

When you go online you take any of the characters you have developed by completing their stories. From this point, you select a match. The computer will pick someone near you on the leaderboard, and then stage a match between your character and the one it has chosen. The cpu controls both characters, and the person who searched for the match simply watches. THERE IS NO ONLINE PLAY. Only online sim. Just a heads up for when people start asking about this game.

That's so dumb why would they do that? That has to be the dumbest online ever.

I've only played this game a few times- but it is cooler than Tenchu, IMO.

I hope this game comes correct. It looks alot like Techu, graphically wise that is, but I really like tenchu so that's not a big problem. Hopefully those achievements drop soon, hint hint wink wink...

I'm a big bushido blade/kengo fan, but I was hoping for a "real" online mode, because the single-player mode is usually boring in this series (poor AI).

I haven't figured out how to restore health but the green bar below is your Stamina Bar.

If you run or exert yourself it goes down.

If it is completely depleted you are vunerable to 1 hit kills but so are your opponents if you deplete theirs.

I tried it out and it works perfect. Not only it refills the stamina bar, but also the HEALTH bar ! VERY USEFUL !

Peeps...

HOLD the "Select" Button and it'll refill the stamina bar as fast as possible. The same goes for the Health Bar. Once the stamina bar is filled completely, here's the health bar's turn to be filled on.
