This is the Quick 1000 (or close to) section. Please note that some may finish it quicker or slower than others. The more research done in terms of utilising the forums found here, the quicker a game can be completed.
Please do:-
• Shout if you think these guidelines aren't fair.
• Post how long it took you to attain the amount listed next to criteria 2 for any games shown below.
Please do not:-
• Post anything along the lines of "I agree with <something already on the main list>".
• Get into petty arguments over how fast a game should or should not take. The criteria is here for a reason.
Criteria:-
To clarify exactly what qualifies as a "Quick 1000 (or close to)":- (1) The game must take no more than 25 hours to attain the GS amount listed under (2) (2) It is possible to attain at least 900 points. (3) The word easy or not easy will not put a game on or off this list. If it exceeds the number of hours in (1) then it is automatically disqualified.
(B) Denotes games that may require boosting for them to be termed as a quick 1000.
If you've completed any of the games listed within the "Under Discussion" section post your thoughts on whether or not they're a quick 1000, or feel free to suggest anything not listed.
Games are not listed in order of difficulty within the subcategories.
The Quick 1000 (or close to) list:-
Under 5 Hours:-
You guys should look at getting Project Sylpheed up there in one play through you can get most of the 1000 gamer points there's about 4 acheivements that take mutiple play throughts its a quick 700 or so though

That game hurts my head. I never know when i'm right side up/down lol.
I'm revisiting this thread after a long absence and I must really thank Highpass and any other individuals doing regular updates and maintenance. This list is definitive, streamlined, and well thought-out. Thank you. Delete this post now, as it is probably deemed inappropriate, just wanted to extend a thank you.

There is nothing more true here than this above statement. Oblivion MUST be played and enjoyed, not whored off like some 2K6 game...
I put around 15 hours in to Call Of Juarez and only got 720 points, with boosting. I don't think it should be on the list. It's a very fun game with cool single player achievements though. But there's a bunch of glitched achievements which prevents you from getting the full 1000.
I just want to agree with the Harry Potter. The 1000/1000 is easily obtainable even without the guide. Only took me roughly 10 hours tops without the guide (I wanted to stay away from the guide to try and draw it out, but it didn't work )
Only a few small sections are even hard, and the forum that Perpetual has set up makes the only hard parts extremely easy for those who need it.
I just completed blazing angels .. it took less than 15 hours and wasn't that hard. If you use the weapons cheat to get the ace and survivor achievements then you can have it done in no time. I used it for only half of each.
I got 1000 in Harry Potter and it was easy. I have been playing transformers and have to question it being listed an an easy 1000. Ive spent hours just trying to find energon cubes in one of the chapters and only have 210 points in it so far.
Also, Pants, Darkness online achievements aren't easy so I don't think that is an easy 1000.
Transformers takes a while to find all the cubes, and now that you mention it, DiRT is extremely easy but it takes longer than 15 hours to complete. My driving time alone was at 18 hours and that is no load/menu time. I can't imagine doing it 4 hours quicker than I did, thought it was a pretty optimized run for me.

Come on people.....READ.
Quick 1000's (or close to)
At least 900 in 15 hours.
You can get all the Darkness points...except for the 100 and 250 wins WELL within 15 hours.

So don't you think that DiRT should say (975) next to it like Armored Core says (900) That was my point.
EDIT: Oh I saw a vote for NCAA 07 to be added. I second that under Rule #2
NCAA 07 (900)
Double EDIT: You know I beat Samurai Warriors 2 Empires with a full 1K in only 3 days. I don't honestly remember how long I played on each of those days though. I remember there were only two tough acheivements, the Osaka Campaign one and the Four Guardians. Without those the game is most definately a 900/1000 within 15 hours though if played correctly.

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix was extremely easy to get 900/1,000 Gamerscore on. I completed it within two days, but it wasn't even close to 48 hours. I only got the 900 Gamerscore from it instead of the full 1,000 because I didn't want to be bothered with difficult tasks on the Hard difficulty. With guides, the 900 gamerscore can easily be achieved well before the 15 hours are up.
Gun must be removed because i think that it is hard when you do not have the "hint" and since it was a glitch then it was deleted because we are now Anti-Glitch
The Gun trick worked as of a month ago cause I used it. And I think Bionicle Heroes is already on this list, yes?? Oh and NCAA 08 is an easy 900+ within 15 hours if you have some luck with the BCS Invite and the 1 to 6 Stars achievements. I haven't done the Campus Legend achievements yet though.
Just a quick note since Harry Potter is under consideration; I question whether it should be on the list or not. Granted it is not hard at all and doesn't take all that much time to complete the main story; its all the mini-game activities that kill this game for me. Couple that with the fact that you have to sit through the computer to make moves in competitive games it really drags the game out. Personally I couldn't complete this game in 15 hours even if I knew how to do every single thing correctly and on the first try (and I was using a guide). Thats just my opinion though.
Amped 3 - not sure if the 'all events" achievement can be completed under 15 hrs... It's over 220 events if I remember correctly. The 'All Gold' events achievement is 140GS and it would take forever. Maybe move to 'under discussion', but whatever, not a bad game.
Everyone seems to be ignoring the people who say to put phantasy star on the quick 1000's .... but why? honestly the game is a easy 1000 in 15 hrs ... hell i did it in about 12 and thats watching ALL the cutscenes and the little music video before every chapter... i know its not the funnest game ever but not alot of the 1000's are but the game is a very easy 1000 points

You said: " I got quick 1,000's in Fight Night Round 3, Madden 06, NBA 2K6, NBA 2K7, NBA Live 06 (960/1,000 still need online achievements), NBA Street Homecourt, and NCAA® March Madness. Yes I believe all these games are quick 1,000's."
Sounds to me like someone wasn't paying attention.
Harry potter should probely be in the list. took me around 10 hours (and on 10 hours i played it twice, one time 100% and the next time on hard) Fastest way to get 1000g is to play on hard the first time
