I just normally ask whoever happens to be home to just stand there. But I have been told that using a desk chair with a coat on it works too.

I thought I'll post my solution, and here it is.
![]() A big seat from our sofa, and a bowser plush as head, don't really know if bowser has some function but he's cool up there. Just moved the the seat in picutre beside me, stepped behind it so it took my place and then walked out and signed in to my profile. |

Turns out that simple solutions work as well. For Kinect party I was able to just put a shirt on a coat hanger and twirl it around in my hand and it read as a second person.

Ugh--
I cannot, for the life of me, get the coathanger thing to work with DC3. I guess I need to fiddle with it longer, idk.

I have to say the next obvious progression is some sort of dummy or skeleton mounted to a unicycle or system of pulleys that you could trick the Kinect into thinking it was running. Just imagine the speed at which you could burn calories in games that have sprinting! Judging by some of the high scores I have seen in the fitness games, there is either some hacking going on or some sort of robot or rig is being used.
Perhaps something like this could be used. http://www.walmart.com/ip/Life-Size-...-Tall/14935850 Last edited by d0pesheet; 02-20-2013 at 03:19 AM. |
