How to import Songs?

Does anyone know?
My GHWT and GH5 Songs were already imported since i did them for Band Hero.
But for the sake of all, i can't find any option in the menue to import my Band Hero or Metallica Songs.

Any tips?

I don't have the game yet, but it's usually in the options menu under something roughly labeled "imports." Usually you just input the code from the manual there and you are good to go.

Got mine today (woo)! To import songs, go into the store, then under Offers. From there you know the drill, enter code, download 2gb etc etc.

Nevermind.
The german translation was just so stupid.
"shop" (where i found the import option) was translated with "laden",
which also means "load" in german.
So i assumed its load, not shop.

(on a sidenote, i had to delete the savefile and start new, because already there was a bug with the first story related achievement)

from memory it's in the options menu somewhere (didn't spend that much time messing around in the options for the store demos) but apparently the metallica import isn't up atm- when you try to download it, it can't find the file.

It's the code printed on the back of the game manual. They are single use, if your lucky your rental copy might not have been used

I'm currently downloading the GH:WT disk import. It's taking its sweet time!

I dropped my guitar at the confirm section and I missed how much it'd cost, if anything. The guitar had to push A and accept anyway...

How many points is it going to charge me? =/

Im tryin to download the guitar hero metallica & it keeps saying 'cant download items. Please try again later. Any ideas? Is it not availabe yet? Or have the yanks 1st dibs on it? Or is it for gold people only at the moment as i only have silver on my other account

It has been added to the list of imports but it will not be available till Tuesday 28th September .

Yes, but no if someone has done it before you. The code is on the back of the booklet. If the book is glued to the cover just take the cover sheet out and you should be able to see it.

GH: Metallica is 480 points
GH: World Tour is 280 points
GH: Smash Hits is 160 points
Band Hero is either 680 or 700 points

WHOA I think your numbers are off.

Metallica and Smash Hits are right, 480 and 160 respectively.

World Tour is 240.
Band Hero is 400. Real Bargain for 60 songs lol.
Also, Guitar Hero 5 is 400 too, I think.

My question is, can i use my english account to transfer songs to WoR and play them on my american account? Seems like it should be possible but i want to make sure before i pay for it lol

If my feeble memory serves me correctly, it was free for some previous games for the first week. I believe you'll have to pay after that. The wife and I got two games free transfer. I think it was GH5 and Band Hero. But, that may be the incorrect titles. We did get two, which was a nice gesture.

pretty sure the standard dlc/xbla rules apply there- any account can use it on the storage device it's originally downloaded on, but if you move it to something else you need to have the account that bought it connected to live.

Is it only me who thinks it sucks balls that I have to pay to import a game that I have already shelled out for, I just feel like it's a complete rip off to pay to import songs you already own.

Big Stoz, I completely agree with you; however, you must remember its not that your having to pay for the songs over again, its that you are paying to renew the licenses to play said content that you had purchased prior. Again i know this still doesn't help you out with the money portion but it's just the way the music licensing works in today's society. The money you paid to own and play the songs in prior GH games sadly doesn't carry over into other "newer" GH games because that was not the original terms of the music licensing agreement. I am just glad that they don't charge an arm and a leg to repurchase the "new" import agreements. I think the price you pay vs. the amount of songs you get (old or otherwise?) is worth it. Especially with GH: Metallica and Band Hero. Hope that helps?

Alright first off, yes that was my first post on this site but i will try to comment on your reply as best I can considering your text is a jumbled mess that I can barely follow. Second, I made a valid point about music licensing that is FACT, not my opinion. So before you "belittle" my reply further by stating: "learn and understand beore posting again.." let me educate you on how the music industry works.

When a set of songs are licensed for use in a "single" music game, they are intended for use only in that game. If those songs are then made available to import into a different music game (newer or otherwise); a music license must be purchased because that was not part of the original licensing agreement of those "said" songs. It has nothing to do with the publisher trying to squeeze an extra few bucks out of players. But you seem to be confusing "importing/exporting songs" with "DLC songs" because they are both completely different types of transactions. "DLC" songs usually have a slightly different type of licensing agreement attached to them because they are purchased separately from the games and thus can be used in multiple games because of this, unless the "DLC" states that it is only compatible with "certain" games. (i.e. The Beatles albums released as DLC were only playable in The Beatles: Rock Band). So to clarify, just because you purchased GH: Metallica and GH:WOR respectively, this doesn't entitle you to have the GH: Metallica songs be playable within GH:WOR just because you purchased both! GH: Metallica songs were only intended to be played within GH: Metallica and vice versa. THIS IS WHY A MUSIC LICENSE MUST BE PURCHASED for a small fee. Again the fee is quite small given the amount of content that you get for certain games. But if you still don't understand this concept Killer I can't make myself any clearer! Maybe this post has helped to educate you on how "music licensing" works so that you don't fire back with such an ignorant reply next time!

It's a one of payment, you will not need to re-buy the license. Although you may need to re-download them, that all just depends on if the content is playing up or not really .

It is a one time payment for the importing license and you should be able to find all importing options under the Options section.
