Golf is 100% most definitely a sport. Golfers are athletes. There is much physical exertion in golf. There are a lot of people who have trouble walking 5 miles. Golf takes LOTS of practice to master. Why don't you take a look at what Tiger Woods has to do daily?

Pretty obvious that the answer is NO. But it does share characteristics - like competitive gaming. When you play a sport you play to win, the same can be said for gaming

I think it is. More of a sport than Poker and the spelling bee which're up on ESPN.

ESPN usually airs the Scripps National Spelling Bee around the end of May.

2. Played Football, Baseball, ran Track, and competed in weight lifiting competition in High School and played Football in college. (Went to playoffs twice in Football, went to State and placed 5th in 4 by 1 track, went to State twice in weight lifting placing 4th both times.)

So what do you have to say to that? Seriously?

If you say I suck at Football think again, I was 2nd Team All Bay Area running back, in one game I scored 6 TDs with over 300 rushing yards.

I play a lot of sports including football, baseball, basketball, and soccer.

I am very good at football and played in high school in 3 different positions.

I have a 2.0 kd in every CoD.

Overall, I don't think it's a sport in the conventional sense, but if NASCAR, poker, chess, etc. are sports, then without question gaming is a sport.

Just because you play sports and are good at both sports and gaming doesn't mean gaming is a sport.

I'd really like to know where you got that idea from.

I'd say the spelling bee is more physically demanding. At least you have to stand up every now and then in a spelling bee.
