What does all the "with premium content" mean? I love Age of Empires, but I sure hope you don't need to buy a bunch of stuff to get all the achievements.

firstly the person that has the achievement is one of AOE online staff.
secondly the pre release of the game is coming today. hopfuly.

The pre-release started yesterday. It is a lot of fun. Can't wait until it fully opens up on the 16th and there are a lot more players! I think they did a good job with this game.

After spending 8000MSP to get 1000/1000 on Game Room!!!!! (I enjoyed the arcade concept though!!) think I will wait a little to see how much MS want you to spend here to max it out achvs wise...................

I suspect a lot of MSP though as the actual game is free probably 6000MSP minimum maybe more & you can bet there will be a lot of premium DLC as well............... Think some of the hardcore beta testers are playing online now & earning achvs as they got a free copy of the game!

From what I can tell it'll cost like 2700MSP to 1k the game, I'm assuming the 'Build *' achievements aren't things in the vanity packs, if they are, that is wholy uncool on their part.

I beta tested this game but they wiped everything before pre-release. Now that the pre-release started, in order to experience the full game, we still had to pay for the premium civs (which I did for one civ at this point). From my knowledge, no one has received a free premium copy of the game.

From reviewing the achievements, to get 1000/1000 I believe you would need to buy both the Greek and Egyptian premium civs, which would result in 3200 msp. But, the developers did say that there will be bundles available on release day, so it may in fact cost less.

Yes, as those people may be reviewers and critiques that played the game for almost a week already in order to have their tests and reviews online by launch

I'm enjoying it so far and liked the beta. At the moment you have to invest around 40 bucks to get all cheevos (~20 $ per premium-nation i.e. Egypts and Greeks - but there will be more to come).
So right now it's a pretty good deal: you're basically paying retail price for a game that offers the amount of fun and playtime of a retail RTS - that's fair in my book.

Basically you'll get the dlc free I guess lol. So to 1k the game you gotta spend 1360 msp x 2= 2720 msp. :P

Uk pricing is a rip off £14.99 x 2 or £29.99 for both + free DLC. Which is $50 on current exchange rates!

Sphere of Influence25 Complete a quest accepted from any other player's Ambassador.

Anyone done that? every friend i visited, there's no quest available, actually there's no ambassador at all; and yes, they are high enough in level i believe

you need to visit someone who is another civ. like Greek meets Egypt and vice versa

A quick thing i wanted to ask... for the achievements where it requires you to complete different quests with premium content, do those quests actually pop up in the free version too? Or will they only pop up once you've bought premium content?

Ok, cheers. Think i might splash out on some content! Though is there a way to replay quests if you'd completed a specific achievement related quest before buying the content? Not that i'm anywhere near doing something like that.

As far as I recall from the beta, all of the missions that need the premium civ pack are not repeatable.

This is also what I've been wondering. I so far haven't personally seen anyone with any of the six 40G building achievements.

Do elite quest in co-op that how I got my achievement. I tried to do it alone 2 time and failed.
