Final fight (spoilers)
I have him down to his last bit of health, he went back on his pillar for a fourth time and i guess final time, i have gone to all of the pillars he draws his power and touched them and now no more enemies are showing up and i am just running in circles i can't see anything else i can activate.
he just won't come down im getting tired of doing circles trying to figure it out.what am i missing? i bet its really obvious |

annoying if it is glitched, i left it paused and tried again i can't reach him with anything, Hawke just keeps saying i must cut of his power but i already went round the pillars was there some sort of order the final time? because before i remember enemies spawned at each of them.

I don't remember doing them in a specific order but I remember the second and third time you had to do it, only 3 of the pillars were marked on the map until you deactivated those and then the fourth was marked. Monsters did still spawn each time when I played.
I think there might have been an auto save just before the final fight, might be easier to just load it up and try again. |

I'm stuck with him having only a sliver of health, yet he's got rock armor that I can't get through uness he's stunned. I can't seem to stun him, and all my party members got knocked out first round.

My party members kept getting knocked out too and I was panicking because I thought I couldn't revive them until I remembered that Mythal's Favour comes under the Poisons/Bombs tab and I started using those a lot.

I found this boss to be more challenging then the Archdemon, Flemeth, Broodmother or any other bioware boss to date. The ally AI just can't seem to stay alive during this fight. My hawk had to take down the last 50% of his health solo.

yeah this fight is built for one character to finish it at the end I had Bethany and myself (warrior hawke) left and I only had her because she had to heal 100 times your allies just dont have the wits to move out of the way of his fire, I even told them to stay by the statues where it seems they take less damage from the fire while I go and deactivate the statues, but when I leave, even though I told them to hold they had moved to fight the enemies that appeared and eventually the other two died because they were fighting in the fire I commend those who did this on nightmare difficulty, because I think I would have had a terrible time doing that |

When he goes to the middle, run to one of the 4 pillars where he's drawing his power from and stay there, once he starts casting the fire and what not, hit the pillar and kill the two enemies that spawn there, your team mates should not run away and the only damage you should receive is minimal, since the fire barely hurts you when you're next to a statue. Let the fire pass and run to the next statue, rinse repeat... - Mario sYn e4gLe. |

yeah should have stayed and fought, but I was just remarking on the fact that the hold option is really useless...because they did whatever they wanted |

Indeed, like in many RPG's, companions usually do whatever they want, and most of the times it's not the best decision, haha..

But to the OP, you may just be missing an enemy, I noticed a couple of times that the pillar guardians sometimes didn't do anything until I attacked them. And don't bother to try and tell party to HOLD, they won't do that. just keep at it you will get it ![]() ps. I only lost 1 party member, because she (Bethany) got stuck on a wall, then FIRE!!!... DEAD!!

Oddly enough I didn't lose anyone and they all followed me in accordingly, it was bizarre.

i found him a pushover with my warrior Hawke honestly. did it at high level with Fortress set + Champion chestplate. i had so much armor and health that the poor guy could only scratch me a little. my party died a lot though so i did most myself. just do 1 pillar at a time, kill those guys and move on. the Hawke's Key in conjunction with my abilities pretty much wrecked him when he decided to stop being a pussy and come off his platform.
my only wish is that the Fortress set looked as good as the Champion, thats what ill be rolling in any future DLC's until i get something better. Last edited by shinobigarth; 08-16-2011 at 08:15 PM. |

This was truly a boss fight. Thinking on your toes, strategy, running for your life. It had everything. But cake....
