Worth getting?
I played the demo and everything, but I just can't spend the points on it yet. I thought my wife would demand it, but she is loving Hexic 2 right now. Not sure what to do.

I like it, if you like tetris, get it. The only real problem with it is that the marathon mode has an end. Also, the combo system is hard to get combo 8 (make at least 1 line with 8 pieces in a row).

A whole lot cheaper than Tetris Evolutions, but it is missing some of the features from Tetris Worlds (the original Xbox version).
The only problem with it, is in multiplayer modes it seems that the people on the other screens are 'lagging' when they drop pieces. Kind of annoying if you are just watching. I'm glad I picked it up though!! |

Its a great game and I love it, Although the achievements are fairly hard. I've gotten to lvl 20 on my cell phone in Biology but havent been able to get past 13 in the arcade version. You may also want to consider purchasing Tetris Evolution (Retail Copy), I believe it is selling for only $19.99 compared to 800 MS Points ($9.99) for Tetris Splash.
Hope this Helped!

Definitely worth getting!
I got this before I found Tetris Evolution. I like Evolution better, but if you're a Tetris fiend, they're an easy 200 & 1,000. My only problem with Tetris games these days is infinite spin & the hold queue. It turns the game from being skill-based to being a high-score chaser instead. It's not even all that impressive when you see a high score in a newer Tetris game, because you know the person used those features to get there. That being said, you can't go wrong - even the fish are cute (and unlock more as you gain achievements), and there is even fish DLC if you really like them that much. Very relaxing! |

It's like going to the Dollar Tree though, they will dollar you to death, and all of a sudden, you're off to your local Wal-Mart or Gamestop to grab another 4k card...
Of course, the DLC fish and backdrops aren't needed for the 200, plus I'm a stingy person already, so I haven't added anything more than goldfish to my tank.

I agree. They really need to drop the price of the Arcade version. I have a hard time spending $10 when the 1000 point version is only $20, but I'd honestly rather not put a disk in every time I want to play. Maybe it will be the deal of the week sometime.

my only complaint is that once I moved and no longer had access to online, the game becomes more like a demo and it was unavailable to play as a full game

"wc" was never explained, but I expect the numbers mean: 13th of December ("Dec" would have been acceptable), 2010. That's old news, so enough of that! ______________________ The game is worth getting... if you love Tetris. Since it's been reduced to 400 MS Points (NOT a sale price, that's the regular price now)... the decision should be easier. On a different note... has anyone let your game just sit there at the main menu of Tetris Splash? All the text, title and icons go away after a few minutes... and you have a cartoonish, aquarium screen saver! I suppose if you purchase the other fish packs, what you select would be on display during the screen saver... not just during game-play?! |
