Is this game harder after updating?

I watched a youtube clip of someone beating survival mode, but the characters just seemed so slow and non-aggressive even at the later stages. When I play, sometimes the fighters enter the ring swinging, and they counter moves even if its the first time I've used them. I noticed every time I pop the disc in after a couple weeks, there's a new update... Are they updating the AI and difficulty or what?

Can you revert back to the non-updating version without losing everything, or how do go about doing that?

You can clear your cache and play offline so the game won't update.

No they don't update this game anymore, but if you play a lot of different games in between , then your cache gets full and it removes old updates and then you have to re-download updates for when you start games again.

I didn't notice a big difference in playing with or without the update, but Hayate seems to be a bit stronger without the update so might want to try that
