While holding out for Reynolds to send backup in Chapter III, 30 Decepticons are killed.

This is done while you are trapped at the bottom of the ruins with a bunch of enemies spawning, all you need to do is kill 30 before backup comes.


Hey guys can i get a little more info for this achievement. Is the spot right after you free sideswipe that you need to kill the 30.? and if so i take it u need to be guick to get the kills before the ai does. So anyways some feedback would be great thanks

This is the part u free sideswipe from that capsule looking thing. u need to kill 30 enemies right there b4 u n bumble leave that area.

Anyone has any tips on this apart from "kill more than the AI"? Bumblebee and Sideswipe are like the most powerful AI partners I ever had in years of gaming, just for this section. I could stay still and they'd wipe everyone off their feet.

I got it on my 2nd try (first I was focused on score, doing only melee kills).

The second try I counted how many kills I had, when the achievement unlocked, I was at 19, maybe 20.

So I think either the IA kills counts or when you hit an ennemy and the IA kills it, it counts.

Really? I've tried this section 3 times and I swear I must have had almost 30 kills by myself and nothing popped. The AI really do some work on this section! If AI kills count, then I think this would be a "gimme" cheev since you do get 30+ enemies coming at ya. Guess I need to start again though.

yeah its pretty tricky. i guess you should use Mirage's double damage ability and use SMG or the sniper rifle if you feel more confident using that (i dont). would be easy in vehicle mode using the rockets.

I assume this trophy isn't accumulative? There's not a counter that appears in the bottom corner of the screen when you're killing people like there are with other achievements/trophies. (I'm playing on ps3, not sure if there's a counter on the 360)

Don't think it's cumulative. If it is, it'd be easy to just kill a couple, reload checkpoint and repeat.

I'll try this probably after I complete campaign.

OOT The Starscream one is bothering me. I don't even know which button to press to use the guided missiles. Nothing seems to work.

You can't use them until you've gotten about halfway through the air battle, and you'll see it light up in the upper left corner when he says he's got a special surprise or something.

Then just keep killing the small planes and shooting the guided missles randomly. First time I tried it, I accidentally shot the target down too quickly and didn't get the achievement.

I have tried getting this achievement for over 3 hours and the AI i just too quick for me :, i tried using the double damage ability(RB), but it doesnt help because the AI gets it as well . any suggestions would be great

I finally got it on my fifth try. I went running all around using my abilities as much as possible and tossing grenades whenever I couldn't get close enough with the machine gun (I'm no good with the sniper rifle) If you hold on to LT you can aim better, and that did help me during this section. I honestly don't think I personally killed all 30, but it was close. I have no strategy other than shoot as fast as possible, melee, toss grenades, and if it doesn't pop, try again. Wish I could offer more help.

I did it my second time. I did constant circles around the area and used Mirage's Double Damage and SMG. I felt like I didn't kill 30, maybe more like 20ish or so and it popped for me without any issues.

Same as above, use SMG's and every-time use cloak (LB) (it gives you double damage when you hit somebody with cloak on).. and use the doubledamage (RB) perk.

It took me a few tries to get it. I finally got it when I ignored the enemies on the top level. I just went for the ones on my own level and the level right above me. Kept going around the area.

I might have just got lucky though as my AI Allies went for the enemies at the very top. When the enemies would finally jump down into range of the SMG they would be so weak that one shot would take them out.

I tried it last night, failed. It had loaded the next checkpoint before I could reload the checkpoint, so I just played the level out. I'll load up that checkpoint after I finish the game.

I tried using the tactic of the two abilities with the SMG's. I think I may have gotten 15 or 16. I'll try iamtfc's tactic next by only going for the ones lower.


EDIT - After about 20 minutes and four more tries, it unlocked. I used iamtfc's method and waited for the enemies to drop down to my level then shot them there. I don't even think I used either of my abilities. I did throw grenades, however, but I'm not sure if they actually killed anyone. Maybe a few.

For anyone going back to this, it's the "Ancient Ruins" checkpoint. You have to fight the Enforcer again before you do this part, though.

just as a side note, right after you free Sideswipe, copy your save to a memory device. that way if you don't get it, you can restart from the proper check point.

Or just choose to replay the chapter and load the checkpoint "Ancient Ruins." You have to fight the Enforcer again, but that only takes a minute. The next checkpoint is "Mayan Streets" (or something like that) which is after the ruins gun battle, so that one is no good.

ok so ive been an avid reader of this site for like.. ever.. for tips and stuff to get the cheevos.. its great.. i only decided to join up to this site because i needed to ask how to actually get this cheevo...

ive got everything bar levelling up to 20 in multiplayer.. and this cheevement is pissin me right off.. ive tried like 10 times .. whatever i do i just cannot get it... i do suck at shooters.. which is why i stay well away from in particvular first person shooters like call of duty and halo.. but im usually ok with 3rd person... and thats why i donbt get why i can get every other solo play cheeve cept this!!! please help!!! ive tried the options given here.. but i still cannot get it.. maybe i just suck at shooting THAT bad

was a bit random for me, try a few times on easy but then changed to normal and it popped up first time but i wasn't killing anyone at the time so maybe bumblebee and sideswipes kills count

ok. FINALLY GOT IT!!!

not sure how.. musta been my 15th attempt or so... i just went ape **** spamming lb and rb whenever i could and meleeing a lot..

concentrated on the lower levels as suggested by others... heard the radio go for the planes coming in and still no cheeve pop up.. got sad... so while the talking was going on got out my sniper and shot one on the top level as planes where coming down and 'ding' cheevment popped up!!!!! am happy now

I think the kills do stack... I did it 3 times and on my 3rd time I couldn't have had more than 14 kills. THe 1st time I did it I overlooked the cheevo but 2nd time I had about 13. So I believe it stack cuz on my 3rd attempt I couldn't have been maybe 4 kills into it. Hope this helps...

But I've been counting, and I do on average 15-20 kills each time I do, and it still wouldn't pop for me.

hmmm... i don't wanna say it's a glitch achievement as it's possible to get. but i'm not sure what to tell ya seeker.. :-\ maybe just keep tryin'. and focus solely on the those on the bottom and 2nd level. seems to be the easiest method for everyone.

Don't think there is any real trick to it... I unlocked mine on the 2nd attempt and stuck to using my machine gun... And used my damage booster when ever charged to allow me some quick kills.

If you have grenades use them

Will say - bit of a luck of the draw this one, and was amazed I got it on my 2nd attempt.

Finally got this. My girlfriend and I counted every kill and it unlocked at 22. I just use LB cloaking and RB damage boost, a lot, whenever I could. Circled around the lower area using the machine gun and melee, and sniper rifle to take out those on top throwing grenades from time to time, i.e., the same thing I've been doing for days. This is a luck-based achievement IMO.

If this method you were trying for days hasn't worked 100 times but works on the 101st, then sure it's gonna feel like a luck based achievement!
That doesn't mean it is though, maybe it was the method you chose that was flawed. After all, if it failed so many times you shoulda tried changing the way you went about it rather than just repeating over and over the same technique.

Anyway, at least you got it and can sell this load of rubbish.

Finally got this Achievement, first attempt after ignoring it for a week

Played on easy
Just ran around in circles with the machine gun
A couple from the first step, if I saw the AI attacking some, I launched grenades at them
Hammered the special abilities as often as possible and punched anything in reach

Really don't think I killed 30 of them, though, bugger gonna have to go back and try again (The checkpoint save flashed up) but as Bumblebee drove off the achievement popped up
