Collect all Bottle Caps!
Find all treasure, including a treasure that's been combined with another treasure.
Upgrade all weapons.
Upgrade Leon's Health to its max... etc.

...and of course, I am sure they'll add an achievement worth 5G for making Ashley call you a pervert.

there is already a thread like this... but here is my dream list of achvos for RE4
I hope these all make it and i wouldnt even care if its only for 200score

• - Kill the merchant in the beginning of chapter 1-2 and complete the game (HAH!)
  . . . or Complete the game using only your handgun, knife and melee attacks (too hard?)
  
  
• - Complete the game Four times on Professional (must start new game each time)
  
  
• - Complete the game with 0 deaths (any mode, must be a new game)
  
  
• - Complete all Ada chapters (seperate ways and assignment ada)
  
  
• - Unlock all Mercenaries characters by earning 4 stars on all 4 maps
  
  
• - Unlock the Handcannon (requires 5 stars with all Mercenaries characters)
  
  
• - Purchase the Infinite Rocket Launcher and the Chicago Typewriter
  
  
• - Earn at least 2 bottlecaps(high scores) from each of the 6 shooting ranges
  
  
• - Hunt over 44 passive animals in 1game (birds, chickens, cows, snakes, fish, dogs, etc...)
  
  
• - Collect every type of treasure(including all egg types) across any game saves
  
  
• - Complete every chapter with at least 80-85% hit ratio (any mode)
  
  
• - Complete the game in under 6 hours (maybe less? not sure)
  
  
• - Kill the 4 main bosses... Salazar, Krauser, Mendez(leathercoat), and Sadler... using only a handgun and knife/melee... enviromental attacks are allowed but obviously no rocket launcher
  
  
• - View every cinimatic, cutscene, death animation, or any other scripted sequence of events.

Man that's some interesting lists guys.
Some cheevos are quite the same as in RE5. I wonder if they put in at least one "Speed-Run-Achievement".

No Time To Waste, So Haste 50

Complete the game under 3 hours on any difficulty.

I'm a fan of speed-runs, so I gave it 50 haha. I can't remember how fast I was on RE4 but in RE5 I managed a decent 01:50:00 h.

I love Speedruns, too, so it'd be nice to have an achievement for that.

The deaths one would be fun... but there's some really punishing ones where if you die you start way back. I think the iron maiden ones.

This is great to me. Easy achievements on a great game and who needs achievements to feel the need to explore this again.

Anyone who has played this game, prob has played through the game several times just for the game, the achievements are a plus.

I'm not as much letdown by the list as I heard that the RE remakes will be released on Games on Demand. Hence why the game has 1,000 points instead of the normal 200 for an arcade game.

And since it's only available on GoD, you KNOW Capcom will charge an arm and a leg for EACH of the RE games. I am hoping $20(1600 points), but I wouldn't be surprised to see each game for $30(2400 points). Screw you Capcom. I'll wait till these games go on sale during the Deal of the Week sometime next year

But what's the point of it being 1000G when they just giving it 12 achievements which don't really require much work at all. Having it on Games on Demand just seems like an excuse for them to give it 1000G.

achievements look ok considering i was guessing it would be a 200g before i sore the other remakes list.

i would have prefered to have a few more varied for doing side quests etc, but im not really bothered as i missed this game the 1st time round, so when i play this hd remake im sure i will be doing anything and everything this games offers

I haven't played this game in a few years, so can someone remind me how you get bottle caps and suits? I'm guessing the bottle caps might just be collectables, and I think you get suits from finishing the game, right? (I have a vague memory of finishing the game, then loading it up again and Leon wearing a goofy, 50's mobster suit). And if there's various ways to get them, how many are there?

Special Costumes:

As far as I remember, you have to play through the entire game to unlock the first set of costumes for Leon (R.P.D. uniform) & Ashley (White sexy Outfit). The 2nd set will be unlocked after finishing the "Separate Ways" mini-game. Leon has a cool Mafia-Outfit and Ashley the Knight-Armor which protects her from bullets & a few projectiles. Ada has only one alternate costume I guess.

Bottle Caps:

You will have a chance to get those @ the castle @ the Shooting Range. There you can start the Target Practise mini-game and earn points by simply shoot @ the targets as soon as the pop up. To get this achievement I guess you'll have to unlock all 24 Bottle Cap Figures.

Now this all is not a 100% sure thing but close.

I would really love to know why/how Capcom is restricted to 12 achievements - as per XBLA rules - but can dole out 1000 GamerScore? Did Capcom buy their way into this? Is Microsoft being lenient when it comes to full retail games re-released on XBLA meeting them halfway with retail achievement rules?

Probably because its not an XBLA game?
Capcom wanted to release them as those (12 achievements), but there is a size restriction that forced them to move it to GoD which allows 1k GS.

It's not a new game so they treat it as an XBLA and gave them 12 achievements and MS doesnt care how many achievements you use for 1k GS

I agree. I was expecting a more full list. It seems Capcom doesn't care or it's probably lazy to create a more interesting achievement list.

I'm not sure about the bottle caps but the rest of the achievemets are pretty easy. Even pro mode will be easy for me because I already beat the game on that setting on the PS2.

What a bad list. Play the game for nine achs, then grind away for the last three. Sounds like fun. I also like how the achievement list was obviously made for an arcade game, then changed to a retail game list with the points increased. Guess they just didn't care that much.

Kinda a letdown that its only 12 achievements. Though I am super happy I can finally play it on a current gen systems. Been playing this on my Gamecube for a while (best Gamecube exclusive game, well at least until they ported it)

Completing Mercenaries was ridiculously fun though.

UGH this achievement list irritates me. As much as I love and worship this game it's probably not going to be a day 1 purchase with the shallow achievements.

Even pro mode will be easy for me because I already beat the game on that setting on the PS2.

I believe Pro-mode on the PS2 version was easier than the Gamecube version. You may be in for a surprise.

Speaking of, this better be a port of the Gamecube version

Very disappointing. At the very least they should have had 3 more achievements for:
- Completing mercenaries with all characters (even if not all stars)
- Purchasing all weapons (PRL does wonders for speed runs)
- Finding all treasures

I personally like killing the wolverines using only the knife, but that would have only been possibly there if there were 50 achievements.

This list leaves me wanting a re-re-re-release with a worthy one.

dissapointed. usually capcom give out some tricky achievments(dead rising 1 & 2) but this is kinda pathetic tbh. probably not a day 1 buy for me now.
I wanted something in the line of dead space 2. Or complet the game without using a typewriter...on profesional.

Will get it sometime down the line, loads of other games coming out.

and for 1600 points each, I think i'll wait till it goes on sale.

I agree, my first thought when I heard about the xbox remake was the mercs... imagined there would be an achievement for unlocking the handcannon...
12 achievements just seems lazy... 2 runs of the game plus the ada side stuff.. and that's it...
no knife only runs, speed runs, all treasures, all weapons, an all weapons one would cover the mercs in the same way that all costumes covers the ada side stories... Im just upset at all the opportunity they had to make quality achievements for my favorite game.
I wanted achievements that would make me buy the stupid mine thrower.. something to make me feel I needed to play through mercs countless times again...
would be cool if they at least include some sort of leaderboard for the mercs..
here's hoping (not counting on it) that we'll see some dlc or something to spice it up for those of us not new to the game..
