Can the player on controller two get classic campaign achievements?

If you start a two played campaign and then play through the whole thing with only one player, but play the hidden boss with two people, will the profile on the second controller still get the achievement for beating the hidden boss?

me personally i havent seen it done and i played this game more than 300 times
