Lore Location Guide

This is a guide to all 70 Lore, although only 60 are required for the achievement. It has been intended to be written in the order that you can find them. See the second post for an alphabetical reference if you’re simply wanting to come back to find a few more for the achievement. NOTE: The Spire is a point of no return.



1: Bounty Notice
Pilgrim’s Road
As you enter the first camp (It is empty of any enemies), this Lore is on a post.

2: Rukkenvahl Lore: The Mournweald
Legion Chapterhouse
A book on a table in the room with Odo and Marten

3, 4, 5: Lords of the Wild - Raven’s Rill - Remnants of a Fallen Empire.

They are all in bookshelves in the room opposite the previous one (North room).

6, 7, 8: Birth of the Legion - The Rukkenvahl – The Wanderers
Legion Chapterhouse
All three are in bookshelves in the top floor of the main hall.

9: Legion Law: The Causeways
Legion Chapterhouse
Same general location as the previous three, found on a table covered in notes next to the entrance to the causeway room.

10: Lescanzi Orders
Stormstrong Cavern
This is a note on a table. This is in the room you go through to leave after defeating the boss.

11: Lord Gunderic’s Journal
Gunderic Manor
An open book in the middle of the floor as you head up the North path.

12, 13, 14: Lord Gunderic’s Journal 24, 40 and 83
Gunderic Manor
All three of these are on tables covered in notes in the North wing of the manor. #83 is through the door which requires the password (Discovered by opening the huge bookshelf in the most northern room).

15: A Missive from Hugh Montbarron
Gunderic Manor
Found as a scroll on a desk in the same room as Gunderic’s Journal # 83.

16: The Headmaster’s Journal
Gunderic Manor
Found on a table covered in notes in the West wing on the Manor, in the big room that opens after talking with the ghost.

17, 18, 19: Coalfire Stones - Gunderic Manor: A History - Torn Letter
Gunderic Library of Arcana
These three are found on the note covered tables in the first room.

20, 21: The Creator Gods - Children of the Swamp

These two are found in the bookshelves in the first room.

22: Lord Gunderic’s Journal 95

Found on a table of notes in the next room.

23: The River of Souls

Found in a bookshelf in the next room.

24, 25, 26: The Heart of Nagog: Pagan Rituals - Scribbled Note - Artifacts of the Creators: Volume IV

All three are found in open books on the ground in a side room, to the very West.

27, 28, 29: A History of the Seck Resurgence - The Heroes Crypt: Part I - The Life of Merik
The inner Sanctum (Gunderic’s Manor)
All three are found in Bookshelves.

The inner Sanctum (Gunderic’s Manor)
Found on the table of notes.

31: Boris’s Orders
Pilgrims Road
On a post in the small camp that you go through as you’re leaving this area, in the same place where you kill Boris for the side quest “The Widow’s Revenge”.

32, 33, 34, 35: Thief’s Letter - The House of Manx - The House of Montbarron - The House of Gunderic
East Forest
As soon as you enter the forest you will find a corpse right in front of you with “Thief’s Letter”. The subsequent quest will lead you to the next three.

36: Arakum Spiders and Their Kin
Upper Raven Rill’s Town Hall
On a table of notes.

37: Virsk Folklore: The Dakkenweyr
Upper Raven Rill’s Town Hall
Read the book in one of the jail cells.

38: Groundskeeper’s Journal
Heroes Crypt
A Note on the ground in the side room with the crypt keeper’s corpse.

39: The Heroes Crypt: Part II
Heroes Crypt
A book on a table, in the side room next to the previous one.

40: Old and Faded Parchment
Heroes Crypt
Look for a note on a table. If you have arrived at the circle room that takes you down a floor, you have gone two doorways too far.

41, 42: The Azunite Church - Founder of the Faith: St. Elisheva
First Peoples Village
After defeating this areas boss, you will talk to a missionary on your way out. Behind her on the ground is a book and a note.

43, 44, 45, 46: Pillars of the Legion: Book 1, 2, 3 and 4.
Stonebridge Grand Chapterhouse
Story related and cannot be missed. All books are on pedestals.

47: The Goblin Renaissance *MISSABLE*
Stonebridge Grand Chapterhouse
Found as a book on the floor in the room directly after finding the ‘Pillar of the Legion: Book 4’.

48: Archons: Legends or Truth?

Found in a bookshelf in the little room you go through before appearing back at the main entrance (East).

49, 50, 51, 52: Peoples of Ehb - The Towns of the East - Glitterdelve Mine - Crypts of the Sacred Blood.

All four are found in bookshelves to the right and left of the stairway that leads to the causeway.

Read the sign in front of the monument in the town square (Outside the Meister hall).

54: Stonebridge: Government

Found as a book on a table in the main hall.

55, 56, 57, 58, 59: History of Stonebridge, Volumes 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5
Meister Hall (Stonebridge)
All five are in the bookshelves in the room where the Meisters are.
60: The Ketzlers of Stonebridge
Crypt of Sacred Blood (Stonebridge)
As you go through the crypts you come up to a “Modified Automaton” in a cage. Head into the side room next to the switch which releases it, and you will find a an open book in the centre.

61, 62: Stonebridge: The Great Foundry - Iron Mongers Guild Charter
Great Foundry (Stonebridge)
As you enter the Foundry, there is a room off to the side with a whole bunch of tables around. You will find these as a book and a scroll.

63: Cyclops Workers Demands
Great Foundry (Stonebridge)
Not very far into the Foundry you will come across a double door entrance, with one of the doors having a note about not feeding the fire jackals. There is a poster on the ground in the next room with this Lore on it (There are also a few more around the Foundry).

64: Azunite Dispatch
Frostspire Mountain
Found as a scroll on a wall in an encampment you enter for the quest “Making an Entrance”. If you’re coming back to find this, after heading through the causeway just keep going until you come up to a cannon and head into the encampment it is aiming at.

65, 66, 67, 68: History of Ehb - Kings and Queens of Ehb - Spy’s report: Jeyne Kassynder - Spy’s Report, Spire of Arunal
The Tumbledown Court (Glitterdelve Mine)
Three of these are found in the North room, and the fourth one is in the South.

69: Who is Azunai?
Spire Dungeon (See the Liberator achievement if you need help getting here)
After completing the Dungeon Siege quest, head into the East prison cells. Head into the open North cell and go over to the hole in the wall in the North East corner. Destroy the stuff in the way twice, and you will find the lore in this room as an open book on a table.

70: Report from Issachar
Chanel of Azunai (Spire)
As you enter the spire, just before the first fight with Jeyne, there is an open book on the ground opposite the save point.

Is there a point of no return in the game that you cant get back to an area if you missed any from earlier missions?

yea the point of no return is towards the end of the game, when sh*t hits the fan basicly. otherwise when u come to a causeway u can veer off to the town of your choice. i got all these lore entries 1st playthrough, i found them all very unmissable, just check all large bookshelves and large open books laying on the floors and the odd wall hanging.

I made a small point of the point of no return for those on their first play through Guide is now complete, I do suggest those on their first playthrough though just use the reference to go back before the point of no return and collect a few more, the majority of them are really easy to find and there are just a few that you will struggle to find
