the first game was amazing and the second went a little bit down hill but apparently they are putting the good bits from the first two games together so dragon age 3 is probably going to be amazing

I havent completely beaten DA:O so i havent gotten to 2 yet :/ hope i have enough time to play it before 3 comes out

Don't wait up on the Ultimate Edition of DA2. They aren't making it since retailers (Gamestop, Wal-Mart, etc.) aren't interested in selling it.

Eh I own DA 2 just haven't gotten around to playing it yet...No rush since I probably wont get DA 3 for awhile after its release but still hope its good

You should definitely play the main story of DA2, very interesting way everything unfolds lol. The DLCs are worth it too; you'll receive some good armor sets and buffs from all 3. Achievements are about on the same level of difficult as the first game's.
