Calm In the Face of Death - 30
While on your last Rose, kill 5 Enemies without activating Hysteria

I did this on Nightmare first try. When you first get your Hysteria ability after passing through the door with flames in the windows, just keep moving around using your clock bombs to kill 5 of the ruin guys, making sure not to pick up any roses they might drop. Was a piece of piss this way.

Also, might I suggest you change the bit about telling people to play American Mcgees Alice last, considering it's the first game surely it would be wiser for people to play it before Madness Returns. Just a friendly suggestion.

dont even need hysteria to do this, i did it when you first encounter the bolterflies after getting the pepper grinder

Thank you for this guide, whereas it has helped me get some of the random achievements.

The only one That I am stuck with is neighslayer (secret) (hitting 4 enemies with one hit of hobby horse - 10 points)

I think it is glitched, but not sure.
I have 790 on this game at the moment working on collectibles.

I just finished the game and used hysteria more than ones so my question is if i start now a new game plus can i get the achievment or do i have to make a new save file on my MU?

new game+ works, best part you get to keep all your upgraded weapons

alternatively, you can use a memory card, save your son's profile on it and then stick it into you console. It works with most of downloable contents, games included

I got Calm in the Face of Death after my first playthrough by equipping the "upgraded" Royal Suit dress, which diminishes your health to just four roses. Jumped into chapter one, where you first encounter the bolterflies, made sure I was on nightmare difficulty, and let them hit me until I was at one rose. Shot them all with the pepper grinder in seconds.

Also, it seems there are some inaccuracies with the Just Peachy achievement. I keep reading that there are five peaches in the first scroll, when there are in fact four in the first one and five in the last two. I'm almost certain, because the achievement popped for me and I definitely only found four in the first scroll. Unless the scrolls can be done in a random order, it doesn't make sense that I'm coming across all these posts about different numbers...

you can get this at the same spot on your first playthrough if you want, thats where i got it

i definitely picked up 5 in the first scroll and 4 in the third, i went exactly by II OE II's collectible guide

you cant do them in random order, unless you are replaying the chapters

This is only minor, but I thought I'd say it anyway. You left out one ruin enemy. Slithering Ruin. They're really quite common, but if people just ignore them it's gonna take longer to get the achievement for 100 ruin enemies.

Edit: Also, for Calm in the Face of Death, I did it at the bit with the bolterflies after you pick up the pepper grinder. Just let them sap your health until you're down to one rose then kill five of them. And if you kill five in succession you should get 2 achievements at the same time
I found it easier to do it at that bit because if I tried with other enemies I always seemed to pick up another rose when I didn't want to..

I can confirm this DOES work on Xbox 360. I actually just read about that yesterday and completed it within a half hour last night

Yeah, really works. I just try it on Chapter 1 and popped the Completing Ch. 1 on Nightmare achievement. Thanks much who find it.

I got the weapons DLC, but I don't get what the glitch does exactly or which achievement it blocks.

Also, unequipping the dlc items makes it possible to get the achivement?

AFAIK there is no glitch from the DLC, i got all the achievements with DLC weapons enabled no problem

No, just the memories. You don't get any achievements for collecting the bottles.

The guide writer noted them as glitchy but didn't really expand on that. I was assuming that the DLC gave you a level higher tier weapon than normally achievable, (like the origional Godfather) and once enabled you were no longer able to upgrade weapons further nullifying the achievement.

I was about to play it through twice, 1st without DLC gear second with DLC gear on Nightmare but now I don't have to. I will play once to enjoy the experience, then cheese the rest of the 1000. Some games I work for, but this one isn't it. I got it to try it out on a whim Its cool, but 2 playthroughs would be too much for this type of game for me. I still have Deus Ex to get done before the next few games on my Gamefly hit release day need to go fast!

EDIT: I have the Weapon/Dress DLC and all achievements popped no problem, including last checkpoint on Nightmare exploit. Not sure if that was an issue but extra confirmation that it works fine.
