Beating all rivals

Can anyone advise which cars and upgrades they used to beat which rivals? It would help me immensely if someone could say what are the best vehicles for each specific rival race. The only posts I have seen on this are just independent rivals. We need a list of all of the preferences for each rival.

Ok I will start with the ones i have done:

Drift- I won by using the Lexus ISF ..with a weight reduction and clutch upgrade
Retro- I used the Supra and had to convert it to works before I could even pass Darren McNamara
Time Trial- Lamborghini Murc LP converted to works
Muscle- Dodge Viper with only an exhaust upgrade
Works-Nissan GTR R35 works upgraded as Pined551 stated
GT3-Aston Martin GT3 as Pined551 stated
GT1-Masserati MC12 GT1 as Pined 551 stated
A Class- I used the Lambo Revention (Police Edition) that was unlocked because i was a NFS VIP

I didn't really have any trouble with any of them. I used the Aston Martin GT3 (GT3 championship), Masserati MC12 GT1 (GT1 championship) and a Nissan GTR R35 works upgraded for the works - also used for endurance race.
