"Tough as Nails" Question

when I play versus and there is nobody on the other team and my team will it still count towards the achievement?

it should. I have another question. Say I play online versus for security Day 1 and I am put on the Resistance side and win as the Resistance, will that still count?

You wont get put on the oposite team from that you search for Ie. You search for the Security mission the game will search for game untill it can put you on Security and if it cant find a game it will start a new one and put you with and against bots.
