The achievements in this game are pretty basic and just require you to build up a certain amount of points within each songs performance mode to achieve a 5-star rating. The same goes for any of the vocal only songs.

When beginning the game try and start with the easiest songs, it would be best if you started in Practice Mode for each song so you can get a feel for the moves which you will be performing. Before you enter a song it will have a difficulty rating out of 5 stars, 1 star being the easiest and 5 being the hardest. Pace yourself and start with the easy songs first, then gradually work your way up to the hardest songs.

You will want to start in Performance Mode first as many of the achievements evolve around this particular mode. Achievements that you can get in the normal performance mode include:

When you feel comfortable enough will some of the songs, you may wish to move on to Master Performance Mode. Not all songs will give you an achievement in this mode, the only songs which will include:

• Rock With You
• Smooth Criminal
• Remember The Time
• Don't Stop Til' You Get Enough
• They Don't Care About Us
• Billie Jean
• Bad

The easy performance achievements will come from the vocals and these can be played at any time. Songs which include vocals only are:

• Earth Song
• The Girl Is Mine
• Will You Be There
• Heal the World
• I Just Can't Stop Loving You

Once you've done these, you can mop up the rest of the achievements, though some you will unlock through natural progression through each of the songs.

GENERAL TIPS:

If you don't wish to sing you can always keep a microphone next to your speaker/s and let the game do that for you whilst you concentrate on the dancing only.

Remember to keep an eye out for the crown when performing, if you see it above your head just shoot one of your arms up and hold it there for it to register. This will give you an 8x score for a limited amount of time, perfect to rack up more points!

For the most part this is singing, so if you have a mic rather than Kinect you can pop it in front of the speakers and wait for the dancing parts which in this case are several poses.

MISC ACHIEVEMENTS:

SUPER STAR 30
Beat a 5 star #1 on a leaderboard.

Beat someone who has got 5 stars on the leaderboard.
Just reach the 5-star mark and stop dancing or signing the track. Wait until the track ends then re-start, as soon as you reach 5-stars this second time keep going no matter how much of the track you have left. When you get your final mark, you will have a higher 5-star score than during your last try. The achievement will pop.


VERY TALENTED 20
Achieved an 8x multiplier in any song.

When you perform in a song try not to miss any of the moves, this will bring you up to 4x points. When the golden king crown pops on top of your head raise your hand and unleash the 8x points. The achievement should pop soon after.


CALL IT A NIGHT 30
Performed 300 songs in Solo Mode.

Simple perform 300 times in solo mode, this unfortunately means you have to play through songs multiple times.


OPENING NIGHT 15
Achieved your first star in Solo Mode.

You will get this after performing your first song. Get any amount of stars on any song and this will pop at the end when you are shown your scores.


A STAR IS BORN 20
Achieved at least 3 stars in 5 different songs.

Play 5 different song, they can be your favorites and the easiest if you chose and get 5 stars. Look at the above posts to see how many points you need for each songs to gain 5 stars.


HAPPY BIRTHDAY 25
Played the game on August 29th, MJ's Birthday

Simply play this game on MJ's birthday, or if you don't want to wait that long sign out of Xbox Live and change the date on your console via the settings. Load up the game, perform a song to the end and the achievement should pop.

Watched the credits sequence. Thank you for your support.

Simply watch the credits, these can be viewed from the menu. Go to Solo Play and stick your left hand out at a 45 degree angel, once the menu pops up scroll until you seen the Credits option and hover over it.
They run for around 2 - 3 songs, so either sit back and sing along or go and do something else. The achievement will pop just as they are ending.


GRAVITY CHECK 20
Became MJ while performing The Leaning in "Smooth Criminal".

During this song you will have to perform the 'lean', don't worry as you don't have to almost touch the floor with your nose without falling over. Just start the lean and hold, the achievement will unlock soon after your avatar turns in to Michael himself.


MOONWALKER 20
Achieved a perfect score performing The Moonwalk in "Billie Jean".

There will be a point in this song when you need to stand with your side facing the camera with move your feet up a down (in the style you would if you were indeed doing The Moonwalk). If you do this correctly and at the right time, you will effortlessly see yourself glide across the screen. Once you've done it, it should unlock (providing you have achieved a perfect score).

If you are having trouble getting through the game, follow some of these handy tips below!

• Vocals - You don't have to sing if you don't want to, in fact you are able to hum to the vocal parts of the songs and still hit the Perfect notes. Simple hold your left hand out at a 45 degree angle, pick Pitch Correction and choose Yes. Then go back to the menu and choose Microphone Volume and put it to around 80/85% as this will pick up even the deepest of humming.
• Cards - Keep an eye on the cards if you can't seem to figure out what you are doing next, it doesn't matter if you're not looking at yourself dancing on screen. Look at the cards, then your backup dancers for help on how to perform the moves.

For the achievement where you have to watch the credits you might want to add were they are located.
To find the credits hold your left arm at a 45degree angle like you would to pause any game scroll through to find the credits.

It's looking good, but I don't really think it can be a guide. You're just posting up the scores needed to reach a 5 star rating on a song. Moonwalking and the 45 degree angle move are pretty easy achievements.

the way i got it was play a song until you 5star it hopefully you will 5star it before the last dance move/ word(s)
then once you have 5stared the song stop playing and let the song finish once it has restart the song and beat your old score

Though one thing you can add to each perhaps, would be the location of the crowns. Not easy I know, but I think it would help a lot if you had a rough idea of when they appeared. For example, the Earth Song crown appears on the first line of the chorus, after the line "although I know, we've drifted far"...

I'd be happy to help record the locations of them if it would be useful. But keep up the good work!

Would be a pain in the ass but to top that figuring out where the crown vanishes could help too since it is possible to get more points out of the multiplier delaying the activation but I often find myself delaying too long

I could add scores for more songs but I only know my finishing scores and don't pay any attention to the stars to know when it actually hit five stars. So not sure if you would want that or not

Just did another song I haven´t had 5 stars on before using the "not looking at the dancers and go by the music" thing. Got 5 stars on the first try!
Seems like the lag hasn´t been calculated correctly in some songs or even just parts of songs. Cuz I noticed I got perfects but was slightly ahead of the dancers but in sync with the music.
We don´t have any lag with GH and RB games, so it´s pretty safe to say it´s not an issue with our setup.

I've played Thriller on Performance Mode at least 20 times and still haven't gotten 5 stars, it's really irritating. I ALWAYS break my multiplier when I get the crown, which is at the beginning on the singing part that has the "Killer, Diller, Chiller, etc" part, I think it's glitched - the lyrics on screen aren't even accurate. Anyhow, I've gotten 176K on Performance and didn't get 5 stars, so you should change it from 175K+ to 176K+

P.S - My girlfriend plays Beat It and always gets frustrated with the misses at the end and she's doing them correctly. I wonder if they can fix that via update or if it's just something people will have to deal with.
