A game long forgotten

One of the most underrated ps1 games imo.

Alundra. I remember renting this thing almost 10 years ago and it was a really cool rpg. Anyone else ever play this?

i havent played the game. care to elaborate some more? how does it stack up to the final fantasy series on PS1?

It's more like Zelda than the Final Fantasy series

It was a good game, iirc it was pretty hard but I was a lot younger then so that might be why!
Had some great puzzles in it.

Just a zelda fake I found. I prefer the Seiken densetsu for action RPG!

What a stupid, pointless post. Alundra and Mortal Kombat are nothing alike, and if you really did shun every other game because you liked MK so much, you'd be a complete idiot.

Anyway, I own and played Alundra - it was and still is a really good game. Very nice graphically for the time, interesting story, great puzzles...

Out of interest, did anybody ever play Alundra 2? Now that was pretty terrible by comparison. They got rid of the top-down Zelda view and replaced it with an isometric 3D view. Unfortunately, the graphics suffered a lot from this. Here's a couple of example screenshots to show what a bad choice the change was:
