I would have to say Resident Evil 2
 first Resident Evil game I played then my dad took over because me and my bro was stuck and he has been into Resident Evil ever since lol.

There are just so many good games!
I think my all time fav was Croc. Just because it had such a huge impact on me as a kid, and I got a 100% haha. Gobbos FTW!  The really good ones though were Crash 1,2 and 3, the Spyros, Final Fantasy 7 & 9, Metal Gear Solid, Resi 2, Dino Crisis, Star Oceon, and I even thought Kula World was pretty fun.

Final Fantasy VII is definitely my favorite. I still haven't beaten it actually. I found a method to max out everyone's stats involving Yuffie morphing everything on the sub and got bored of that after a while. I want to beat both weapons before I finish the game, Cid Cloud and Yuffie should be up to it by now.
Resident Evil 2 is a very close runner-up. I can't mention the PS1 without touching on the survival horror genre. Absolutely love it. The first and third RE games were solid in their own right, but 2 just seemed to have much better puzzles, cooler enemies, and generally more gameplay. I finally beat 3 a few weeks ago and it just didn't feel meaty compared to 2. |

Suikoden 2 is my fave game of all time let alone on ps1. but my top five would be:
1. Suikoden 1 2. Vandal Hearts 3. Suikoden 4. Final Fantasy 7 5. Azure Dreams 4 out of the 5 by Konami, all RPG's. as you can guess i didn't get out much lol

Seriously, I love my PS1, so many awesome games, the PS1/PS2 are by far my favorite systems and hold some of my fondest gaming memories.

Everyone says MGS, but personally I preferred the second one onwards a lot more than the first one.
My favourite is Spyro: Year of the Dragon - Awesome game Oh and Driver 2 was pretty damn good as well. Take A drive.. oh, the days eh?

my top 5 or so: 1) Suikoden II (easily my favorite game on the console by A LOT!) 2) Final Fantasy IX 3) Lunar Silver Star Story Complete & Eternal Blue (both remade with better graphics = epic) 4) Metal Gear Solid 5) Tie between Silent Hill & Resident Evil 2

Twisted Metal Series was a lot of fun...
GTA3 was pretty sick too... i dont know anyone who actually played the game... they just went to the rooftop, entered in the cheats and destroyed everything at the intersection... if it wasnt for achievements i bet that everone would do the same for xbox360 |

Wow, I haven't played these in forever but my fondest memories of PS1 games would be Final Fantasy VII and Metal Gear Solid.

Tomb Raider 2 is one of the best but its hard as, 007 World is Not Enough, Crash Bandicoot 3, First Spyro game I enjoyed.

Gotta say Resi 2 is my fav ps1 game but there were a few quality fun games when i was a kid. Pandemonium and Overboard where class!
