You Don't Know Jack FAQ
WORK IN PROGRESS In multiplayer games, "screwing" is where you can force another player, once, to answer the question in five seconds. The value of the question at the time is the amount of the timer when the screw is activated.UPDATE (3/3/2011): This is going to take a back seat to the Achievement Guide while I polish and preen it for publication. Please bear with me as I plan on writing a full fledged FAQ for YOU DON'T KNOW JACK. EDIT (3/26/2011): OH GOD MORE BUTTHURT! Gameplay Elements Explained Screwing Screws are activated in-game by pressing either or (Or the Big Button on a Big Button controller). Afterwards, you select the player you intend to screw. One thing to watch out for is that in online games, watch out for lag because I've seen many times where a player accidentally (at least I hope) screws themselves WHICH YOU CAN DO.When you use your screw, one of thee events happen: - If you successfully manage to screw yourself, you lose. Period. - If the person you screwed does not answer the question correctly, they lose the value of the question and you gain that value. In addition, you are allowed the chance to answer the question correctly. - Should the person you screw answer the question correctly, they will gain the value of the question and you will lose said value. Better luck next time. There are three achievements tied to screwing: My First Time: Use your screw once. Virtual Virgin: Answer correctly while screwed 5 times. Enscrewsiast: Use your screw 50 times. Question Types Standard Multiple Choice: The bulk of the game is made up of multiple choice questions that are just simply answered , , , or .DisOrDat: DisOrDat is a question type somewhere in the realm of Questions 2-5, and there are always at least once per episode. The gist of it is that you are given two different categories (e.g. "Names of Famous Viruses" vs. "Mountain Dew flavors"), and then presented with seven items. Your job is to determine whether they fit criteria or criteria . Your total winnings range from -$2,100 to $2,100, in increments of $600, plus your remaining time left on the clock (e.g. 14.55 = $1,455). Who's the Dummy: Who's the Dummy is a question type where Cookie shows off his ventriloquism skills. Unfortunately, Cookie has an issue pronouncing Bs, Ps, and Ms, and will pronounce them as Ds, Ts, and Ns. Because of this, you have to play very close attention to the question so you can understand was is asked. As a bonus, the on-screen question reflects the pronunciation by displaying the question as spoken. Example: Cookie's Fortune Cookie Fortunes with Cookie "Fortune Cookie" Masterson: Cookie is an avid lover of fortune cookies, and will use any opportunity to use his fortune as a template for a question. Example: It's the put the choices into order then buzz in and see if you are right... QUESTION: In this question type, you are presented with 3 or 4 different items and are told to put them in an order. The order can either be earliest to most recent, or vice-versa, or largest to smallest, and vice-versa, etc. The questions themselves carry a certain increase in difficulty and, therefore, carry an additional $1,000 on top of what you would normally bank. Example: Nocturnal Admissions with Cookie Masterson: TBC. Last edited by Itsbrown4606; 03-26-2011 at 09:55 PM. |
