I think it's around a few hours. Best bet is to have Heinrich hold Gretchen at the start of Chapter 3 (the one in the snow). At the very beginning of the level start moving Heinrich is a circle and use something to hold the stick down so he walks by himself in a circle and no enemies will attack.

You don't actually need to move, you just need to be holding her. if you have a wired controller you can just plug it in and walk away till it dings

at what chapter you do it? i try it by press RB to carry her at the 1st save point. after that i just keep my wired controller sit there for more then 3 hours but it dont pop up....

maybe it won't unlock if u just hold her..when it unlocked for me, i was carrying her, i just assumed that would work to if u hold her, sorry

yes, this is what i do. i use my wired controller and carry her and i left my tv on then go to work. after i back from work, it suppose more then 3 hours but the achievement just wont pop...

I am almost certain it is more than two hours of holding, because when I had plugged my controller in to hold her I bet I had already held her for quite some time (my game play time was around 11 hours at this point) and I had left it running for at least 2 more idle

I try many times carry more then 3 hours but nothing happen, it is still nothing happen

I use wired controller and leave it so I go watch tv, doing stuffs and thing like this I back after 3 hours and nothing happen damn. I begin think it is possible glitch achievement

I'm on chapter 18,have over 16hours of gametime played,and except for the few chapters where you are separated from Gretchan,I have been carrying her the ENTIRE time! This achievement will not unlock.Maybe it has to be two straight hours without putting her down? The only time I set her down was to fight enemies.

*Nevermind*,it just finally unlocked after 17 hours of gameplay and reloading episode 2 to get a missed item.

I stil don't have it.
I always carry Gretchen and i am on my second run.

I carry her whenever we're not fighting and I didn't get it until my 3rd playthrough. Not sure what's up with this achievement.

Last night, I left the Xbox idle from 10pm to 1:36am and nothing. I was using a wired controller. I am trying this again this morning (started at 7am). For sure, it's not for 2 hours...

Edit: Got it! I was gone from 7am to 1pm, and somewhere in between, the achievement popped.

I left Heinrich running in a corner with Gretchen for 2 hours and got nothing. I think this is just a finnicky achievement.
