Worth 4 bucks
My Kmart has this game for 4 bucks and i was wondering if it would be worth picking up. First question, is this actually an alright game or will i get so frustrated that i will want to run my controller through my tv. Second, Are the acheivements some what easy to get or is there alot of time consuming acheivements and online acheivements that will be impossible to get at this point.

Definently worth 4 bucks, the cheevos are pretty easy if you follow a guide and there are no online achievements what so ever.

I'm only up to level 3, so I can't say for later/harder levels. But so far its easy. I'm having fun with the game. I paid $15 and I think its worth it. The graphics are not stellar, but its fun swinging around on the grappling arm.
for $4 you should just buy it. If you are worried about completion percentages on achievements, just play it on a dummy account for a bit to see if you like it first. Edit: Well I've just played through it twice and got all achievements. Despite everyone insulting the game, I thought it was fairly good. Its not great, but good. As for achievements, some of the collectibles are in really tricky spots to jump, and two challenges can be tricky (the kill 5 enemies with a death from above, and killing two enemies with the bulldog from 120 yards). At least those were my two hardest. The achievements are breezes, but I don't think they are overly hard. But you do need to get halfway decent at the game to get them. There aren't many shortcuts to make them pop. Last edited by BelatedHero; 03-27-2011 at 12:17 AM. |

Honestly with out a doubt the worst game I ever played....but for $4 you can't go wrong...I hate the checkpoint system and the story itself is pretty lame.

This game is easily worth $4. The gameplay is very solid. Completing the combat challenges can be fun and are frequently rewarding (literally, sometimes completing them will increase a weapon's effectiveness or it will increase your health). The central mechanic of swinging around with the bionic arm is something I found very fun to do. Trying to nab all the collectibles frequently requires some pretty skillful use of the bionic arm. There's a bit of a learning curve, but it's not terribly difficult to get the hang of. The distance between checkpoints is somewhat punishing. You can replay chapters again, but for some inexplicable reason, you cannot earn achievements by doing so. So if you miss a collectible, you either have to shrug it off and don't bother collecting any more, or you are going to have to start the game all over again. The loading times aren't bad, at least compared to the atrocious amount of time spent looking at a loading screen in Skyrim. So, is it a great game? No. Is it a good game? Definitely. I feel the pros outweigh the cons. It is most certainly worth $4.
