1K without instruments?

Can I get 1K for this without using the instruments? I'm interested in this, it looks like you get nab 300K just by 100%ing the first song

Not sure what you're thinking, but you kind of NEED the instruments to play

. Like really, LOOK at the achievements...It specifically says things like playing the guitar, etc. Honestly, don't get a music game if you don't want to use the instruments

I think he means do you have to use the power gig guitar and drums to get 1000g in the game or can you use guitar hero/rockband guitars. I looked at the game box yesterday at walmart and it says you can use the guitars you already have, but there are a few achievements you have to use the power chord mode, which is only with the power gig guitar. So I think you can get most the chievos but not all. I'll probably pick this game up out of the $5 bin in a few months.

short answer no
however u can get most of them.. i prefer the 5 piece drum set to the one they have as it makes getting max mojo in all venues easier
but there is one that requires the 6 string guitar and its 100 points .. all power chords in a song
but i believe it is only one that requires the special instruments
i do not know however 2 of the secret achievements so there may be another
i have beaten the game and have over 500 of the points on it
total perfect hits im counting on getting with the rb guitar
and need to figure out the 2 secret achievements..
and that should answer your question.

i got a few more achievement points since then.. got my perfect hit achievement.. microphone

Yeah, you sadly have to buy both of their crappy instruments
