I had a glass sword for ages, but as soon as I enchanted it I started finding ebony weapons so I'm usin an ebony Longsword now. (19 hit points)

i have two... the Goldbrand Sword which does 22 (fixed) damage and bow wise is my Hatred Soul Bow with Soul Steal Arrows you got from Chorrols Oblivion gate in "Aids for Bruma" quest which only does 15 but can soul steal ... i mean come on!!!

There is not any such thing as fixed damage. It is based on your strength. My best sword is the umbra but when i picked it up it only did 19 hit points. Now my umbra does 28 hit points.

my sinweaver does 15 damage, 30 fire and 15 shock, but im sure the damage will go up as i level up, im only a level 11 lol

i got the umbra sword from umbra herself... i also got full "umbra ebony" from umbra lol. but i use my full daedric (except helm) that feathers 250 points total and my daedric longsword that soul traps =) as for my helmet, it is enchanted ebony. waterbreathing. lol

I still like my Longsword of the Inferno. It's an enchanted daedric longsword that can do 45 damage.

UPDATE: my daedric now feathers me 625 points =) <3 sigil stones lol. 125 points feathered per piece, woot. but still, without helm...

EDIT: also got full daedric (no helm...) with 30% chameleon each =)

there is a mission you get from the pub or inn in charoll. called sins of a father.some special sword of charoll has been stolen.andthis guy at the pub want you to go get it and give it to him. once you go get the sword it tells you that you might be better returning it to the city not this guy who is try to steal it. anyway you get 2 choices here, take it back to the city(which i havent tried doing) or taking back to the guy in the pub, i did this as a test and he gives you 1500 for it.but i decided to load and keep the sword as
1. it has 0 weight as it is a mission item. 2. it is single handed 3. it does 16 damage standard.
I havent tried it out yet but im assuming it will be sweet.
i can alway sell t later on if i find something better

On the red river road travel west, you should come across Pell's Gate. Not much farther to the west of that you will see the ayliad ruin of vinwhatever. It's a small ruin, but you can't miss it. yea its in the ayleid ruin "vindesil" or vindeasel or something... the name sounds like the actor. anyways u basically enter the ruin, and u kill a bunch of rats and useless things until u get to umbra herself and shes pretty hard. after u kill her u get the umbra and whatever she has on her.

o yea and marley, i got full daedric armor (including helm) and its all enchanted with feather... to say the least i go fast.

I wouldn't have thought you could buy the most powerful weapon in the game, but be given it after completing a tough quest.

Im unsure what is "the" most powerful weapon. Especially given that your skills in various areas effect the stats of weapons you use. But I personally have used only one sword all the way through it.

I got it doing a quest, not sure what its called, I'll boot up the game and have a look shortly, but it was a sword I had to retrieve and then return it to someone to complete the quest. At the time it was much more powerful than anything else I had and was also usable against ghosts (made of silver) although to be honest, I stopped leveling up ages ago because after 50 hours I just wanted to get the game completed before I got bored of it and decided to ebay it without getting all the achievements, so wether its the sword which is powerful, or just I'm probably 30 levels below what I should be (and all the enemys the same) I'm not sure!

I have the strat guide, I'll take a look see if it suggests anything in terms of strongest weapons.

statistically its the daedric warhammer depending on your blunt skill if its expert to master, then yes the daedric warhammer is the most powerful non magic item, however magic item, would be between , umbra and gold brand there both awsome weapons, umbra works well with the star of azura, *get a soul with umbra, then use the soul in the star of azura to recharge it* also umbra is strong, gold brand on the other hand sends opponents flying proving there not to big and 22 points of fire damage isnt bad on top of the base damage the thornblade isnt bad either it disintigrates your opponates weapon by 40 % and unless they an expert or higher in armourer three slashs and they havent got a weapon

Where can I find the daedric warhammer or umbra and the gold band?

The most powerful might possible be the Mace of Doom. I am not sure if it is the most powerful, but it does have the biggest explosion. I know you couldn't recreate it. It is more powerful than umbra/goldbrand/daedric warhammer.

For all you people looking for some BA weapons go HERE (It is a guide by Invincible Rob and I that tells how to get the daedric artifacts, including Umbra and Goldbrand). And btw TECH, the daedric warhammer is found in random loot or on bandits after you reach level 20.
