I can't actually remember the sword names, I played it so long ago now.

My favorite is the daedric artifact mace of molag or something like that. 45 dmg at 100 blunt + enchant.

Greater Staff of Storms. Lots of fun taking out several baddies at once. Only drawback? I must've killed Martin a dozen times during sacking of Imperial City.

the true best weapons are homemade spells. If you are a wizard you can control everything.

-make a 100% chameleon spell.
-make a frenzy spell with huge radius.

get everyone to kill each other for you while you watch.

My personal Favorite is going to have to be the bound mace. you can receive it towards the beginning of the game and it levels up with you constantly getting stronger. plus the fact that it weighs nothing is also great.

or just make a spell with each destruction magic (fire, frost, lightning) and the weakness to with it along with drain hp 100 points and damage hp.

you need 100 level destruction but the spell only cost about 200 mp to use and will kill almost anything in one hit.

I usually also tack on soul trap just to make things easier.

Haha, I have a spell I just call Die! Drains health 200 points or so, anything I hit it with is gone. Also, I have Shadowrend which is a very good sword imo.

So if you have a crappy blade skill. It doesn't matter what level you are, if your blade skill still is 30 as it was when you started, the weapon damage will be minimal. Right?

Anyway I have a sword called Umbra. I picked it up last night. It does 21 hit points.

Last night when I was exploring I came across a cave called Vindasel. Inside there were a few rats and a person named Umbra who didn't even attack me when I approached. I did a little research on Umbra on some other forums and found out Umbra was a name from Morrowwind. (Which I have no idea because I didn't play it.) I ended up killing Umbra which was pretty tough at Lvl 13 with the slider at medium difficulty. (If you want a very good fight keep it at medium. It was fun) Once dead, I recieved the mighty Umbra sword. The armor called Ebony Armor had the same stats as my Orcish armor I was wearing but it looked a little better so now I'm pimped out with Umbra and Ebony armor.

I have to agree, Umbra is great and has ZERO weight, how can you go wrong? Though on a different play through I took the Mask of Clavicus Vile and it look pretty bad a**

damn where do you guys get all these weapons? im still using the katana the blades give you in the main questline. only 6 damage..

It's because you're still level 1. (That's what you said in another post). So, in order to get better weapons you have to level up, otherwise, you'll only get a weapon as good as your level.

There are some side quests and daedric quests that will reward you with weapons, but if you are still level 1, the weapon won't have higher damage until you level up.

Level 1, Iron; Level 2, Steel; Level 4, Silver; Level 6, Dwarven; Level 9, Elven; Level 12, Glass; Level 16, Ebony; Level 20, Daedric

I use Dawnfang/Duskfang... 100 skill in blade makes it at most a three-hit kill >.<

Well it looks everyone uses swords...

On my archer my favourite is Hatreds Soul, I think this is definitely the best bow in the game.

On my mage however I often dont even have a weapon except for looks! Staffs seem almost useless unless your 'silenced' and that rarely happens anyway!

I use magic mostly in all my battles. If I have a Staff and I can use it to inflict masses damage then I would used that but I to shoot fireballs at a distance.
