PS3 to get cross platform support...
... and we get nothing, AGAIN! Thanks muchly, stupid Microsoft online rulings! We could've got STEAM on XBL if they weren't such a bunch of stupids*!
Here's the story; http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/gaming/n...form-play.html (* Please insert expletive of your choice here instead of this word!)

Looks like I'm getting the PS3 version. Though I might get the 360 version too since quite a few of my friends don't have a PS3 or Steam and I'd want to play co-op with them.

I have read several articles today concerning this (not the one posted above though), and not one of them said it was because of Microsoft. Gabe Newell used to favor the 360 over the PS3 and now all of a sudden says that Xbox Live is a trainwreck. I have both consoles and I can assure you that the PS3 and PSN is the trainwreck. Because of this fat fucks new opinion, he decides that the PS3 version now gets all the good stuff. Why not give to both consoles? I hate my PS3 and Im not going to buy the PS3 version just to play with PC gamers. I have Steam but I want to play with my PC friends through my 360.

PC Gamer: Was the mistake on the Xbox side to think that Microsoft would let you update it more often? Gabe Newell: We thought that there would be something that would emerge, because we figured it was a sort of untenable… “Oh yeah, we understand that these are the rules now, but it’s such a train wreck that something will have to change.” http://www.pcgamer.com/2010/09/09/in...yve-failed-at/

We have no one to blame except for Microsoft. It sucks, because this is something that will push people towards Sony. Hopefully they realize this and get their act together.
As for this game, I don't know which version I will be getting anymore. A good fraction of my friends play only on PC, so I may need to forsake the Xbox for once. Sorry Microsoft. |

I'm pretty sure this is Microsoft's fault and not Valve. It's because of this that Gabe has flip-flopped on the PS3 going from calling it a piece of trash to hailing it as the best console ever. The Xbox 360 could have had Steam on it in some form but Microsoft said no thanks. I'm going to get it on PC to play it for real and on the 360 to get the achievements.

little bit pissed off when i heard this. Seriously MS we pay for this why the fuck cant you just let them do it. There pc market place (steam) is better than yours..they are better than you, just admit it and give us the customers a service that we pay for ~~ /rant
but seriously Shadowrun had cross platform and surely xbox to pc is the easier than ps3 to pc. I really dont understand why we cant. If you can play with people on pc with portal 2 i may actually get rid of my xbox and get a ps3. |
