How does Lego game humour work with dark Batman humour?

Have just finished playing through Lego Harry Potter Years 1-4 (kids xmas present ) and loved it. I have also dabbled with Lego Star Wars on old xbox and seen my boys playing Lego Star Wars Complete Saga (borrowed) on out Wii.

I love the humour that the Lego games have brought to the franchises it has touched but how does this work with the underlying dark humour of the batman franchise?

Do they build on the dark humour, do they mix it with "Lego humour" or do they do away with the dark gothic humour and replace it with Lego humour?

I'm going to play it anyway, just curious in advance.

@MODS - we need some Lego smilies

Well, to be fair, Batman doesn't automatically equate to dark humor. I don't think dark could be even remotely used to describe the Adam West Batman show. :P

That said, it's been a while since I've played so I could be forgetting things, but it's mostly typical Lego humor as I recall. Of course, for the most part, in my opinion though, the Batman of the game resembles the Tim Burton/Joel Shoemaker line of Batman movies (most of the achievements titles are quotes from them, Two Face paired with Riddler, Catwoman paired with Penguin, the Bat-vehicles looking a lot like the ones in those movies, etc.).

The humour is good but the game gets boring very fast imo. Theres quite a few levels and you have to play them twice.

All the levels you have to play twice. Its a given! lol You have to use certain characters that you just cant use in story mode. Its like that with all the lego games. Well I only played this and Star Wars TCS

Hahaha!

The humor is lego humor but it helps if you know of Batman stuff so some stuff are more fun to you.

Most definitely not inspired by "dark" Batman versions. It's a cute game...just like all Lego titles. Finding all the "Mr. Freeze ponds" just about made me pull my hair out, though....
